Call of Duty Black Ops 4 might find its way to the Nintendo Switch. According to a recent report, the latest entry in one of the world’s biggest game franchises could find itself on Nintendo’s hybrid console. In this episode of Transition - Gadgets 360’s gaming podcast, we discuss what this could mean for Call of Duty veterans and Nintendo Switch newbies.

Considering that the last Call of Duty game to come to Nintendo consoles was Call of Duty Ghosts for the Nintendo Wii U, the possibility of Call of Duty Black Ops 4 opens up a host of opportunities. From potential local coop mode seeing how the likes of NBA 2K18 have brought this to the Switch as an exclusive feature to motion controls that hopefully aren’t forced on users (after how they’ve been implemented in games like Splatoon 2) and even the chance of a Call of Duty Black Ops 4 battle royale mode, all of these possibilities are discussed in depth.

Furthermore, we speculate on the Nintendo Switch Online service and if the Kyoto-based company’s foray into the world of connected multiplayer is solid enough to meet the demands of a game like Call of Duty Black Ops 4. More so when basic features like voice chat are painful to use on the Nintendo Switch.

Finally, we ponder on the possibility of Activision bringing others games from its stable such as Overwatch and what that could mean for fans of the Blizzard-developed hero shooter.
