After Nintendo launched the Nintendo Switch console, we discuss what the launch means for India on this episode of Transition, our podcast on games on pop culture. In the second half of this episode we talk about Sherlock, which is BBC’s detective series. Should Nintendo launch the Switch in India? Will BBC air another season of Sherlock? We answer these questions and much more.

Nintendo fans Rishi Alwani, Mikhail Madnani, and Gagan Gupta join host Pranay Parab to share their thoughts on the Nintendo Switch. At the half-hour mark, Akhil Arora and Rohan Naravane arrive to air their thoughts on Sherlock.

We start the episode by talking about all the games Nintendo announced during the Nintendo Switch launch event. We talk about our favourite games and the ones we're looking forward to playing on the Switch. Some of us may have placed one pre-order too many and we discuss whether the console will even show up officially in India.

We wonder whether offline multiplayer be a big draw for Nintendo fans in India and even if people manage to buy it in the country, will they be able to buy games digitally. There are plenty of legitimate concerns around importing the Nintendo Switch to India such as warranty and the price of games. We talk about all of that and more.

In the second half of the podcast we move to Sherlock, and how the detective's character has progressed over four seasons of the show. The highlights of the discussion include the show's awesome soundtrack and our favourite episodes from the show. We talk about all three episodes of Sherlock's fourth season - The Six Thatchers, The Lying Detective, and The Final Problem. A part of the discussion involves the direction the show is heading in, and whether we will see a fifth season.
