Great cooling, good enough for my 400 sq ft living room, installation was easy and hassle free. Samsung technician came within 2 days to install this and was very helpful in explaining the features.

The cooling is real good. It is a really quick machine. Brings down the temp from 30's to 20's in no time.

I have been using this product since the last 2 months and it is wonderful. Absolutely no issues with its efficiency or cooling. Installation was a butter smooth process and was completed in a day efficiently. The only drawback is the remote - it has no backlit display and hence is quite a pain trying to use it when it is dark. The unit too does not have a temperature display - this could have been well compensated with a backlit remote, but it was not to be. Other than the remote issue, there is nothing else to complain about.

Great cooling. It comes with 5 year warranty on aluminium durafin condensor and 1 year comprehensive warranty. Only drawback is remote does not come with backlight. Paid 950 for stand .overall great amazon delivery and service support from samsung

We liked it except initial trouble in installing as the Samsung and service people have no idea if it is free to install or not. Samsung should train its service or installation people and give awareness about their different products which are free to install and which or not. Any how little delayed installation was done but as the Airconditioner is concerned it is good but there is no ILLUMINATED DIGITAL TEMPERATURE DISPLAY . That's is bad for this price . They much have placed it as mandatory

High end ACs need high end brands. Get the Samsung ULGM 5star. Great product

From my personal experience of buying an AC I know that I was mostly looking to save the recurrent cost, and I was open to buy anything that will save me money in the long run. Which is why I have made this table below of the maximum Power Consumption (and averaging across various brands and ACs) of Different type of ACs available in the market. There might be a few outliers here and there but the below average is from 1000s of samples. Please read the notes below for my observation based on the below table.1 Ton Window AC :3 Star : 1050 - 1150 Watts5 Star : 1000 - 1100 Watts1 Ton Split AC (The evaporator/indoor unit power consumption is very less, so only compressor power is considered) :3 Star : 1050 - 1150 Watts5 Star : 1000 - 1100 Watts1.5 Ton Window AC :2 Star : More than 1750 Watts3 Star : 1550 - 1700 Watts5 Star : 1450 - 1550 Watts1.5 Ton Split AC (The evaporator/indoor unit power consumption is very less, so only compressor power is considered) :2 Star : More than 1700 Watts3 Star : 1550 - 1650 Watts5 Star : 1400 - 1450 WattsAs a very rough calculation, I will say every extra 200 Watts running for 5 hours (compressor run time, not AC) will cost you an extra Rs.200 per month. For example an AC running at 1400 Watts will have a lower bill of Rs. 200 than an AC running at 1600 Watts if they both run for 5 hours daily. Ofcourse there are other variables in the calculation as well.================================================================================Observational Notes :1) There is not enough saving between 3 Star & 5 Star rating ACs to save a huge amount of money IMO. So if the difference is more than Rs. 5,000, for most households its a better deal to buy a 3 Star AC.2) If Possible going for a lesser tonnage AC, will save a decent amount of money in the monthly bill.3) Ofcourse second step also includes finding the Cooling Wattage of the AC, so just to add Stars awarded are based on the cooling capacity wattage divided by power consumption wattage, which gives EER of a unit.4) There is not much difference between Split and Window AC as far as saving electricity bills is concerned.5) Inverter ACs are a different beast and none of the above points apply to Inverter AC.================================================================================Breaking Down specs of the specific AC :Point 1 : 1480 Watts Aluminium Compressor. Its not a cheap AC, and at its best price of Rs. 33000, it comes with aluminum compressor, which is definitely a deal breaker for me. There are various reason to go for Copper AC, I am listing only few in this short space, Copper is much easier to repair than aluminium with aluminium coils if they are damaged they will need replacement. The coils made out of copper are much more stronger than aluminium and are much more durable specially since the compressor unit stays mostly outside with harsh climate.Point 2 : Cooling capacity of 5340 W. So 5340/1480. It has 3.6 EER. Rating of 3.3 gets you 5 star, so this is much higher than the required requirement to get 5 star.Point 3 : R22 Coolant, which is HCFC and causes Ozone Depletion. However is very readily available for refilling.Point 4 : Samsung has a great brand name and great service.Point 5 : This AC comes with Triple Protector Plus Technology which prevents the overloads without using a stabilizer and gives the best Performance of AC and Rotary Compressor.Point 6 : It has 3 filters that extract the dust particles in the room. Its unique coating will kill the 99% viruses, bacteria from the room and delivers fresh and clean air from the dense filter.Point 7 : Dehumidification, Sleep Mode and auto clean features are pretty good and take this AC a few notches up than its cheaper competitors.Just to add a bit more about the particular AC, it has pretty high EER based on which stars are awarded. This AC has a very low wattage compressor and will save you quite a big chunk of money monthly depending upon your usage. BUT has an aluminium compressor which is a big NO NO for me personally. At its present price of Rs. 33,490 its definitely a costly buy. But do remember Samsung has a very good service network, and the cheaper brands cannot compete with Samsung as far as service is concerned.Do note that Stand (~Rs. 750), Stabiliser (~Rs. 1600), Extra Copper Wire and Installation (~Rs. 1500) in all will cost around extra Rs. 5000-Rs. 8000 but that is the case with other split ACs as well.
