Twitter offers personalised suggestions for users to follow

Getting started on Twitter is likely to become easier as themicroblogging site plans to offer customised suggestions to users on what orwhom they should follow.

The announcement came via Twitter's blog that states the newpersonalisation features are being experimented in various countries. Userslogging in for the first time will be able to see a list of recommendedaccounts along with a timeline of tweets from those accounts. The list willappear on the left side of the screen as soon as they sign-up.

Those currently on Twitter will be able to view a "Who ToFollow" box on the left side of the homescreen.  These suggestions are notonly for individuals but also categorised under various genres like Funny,Fashion, Comedy, Technology, News and many others.

Twitter will offer users to turn this feature off if theychoose not to use it. Earlier today, Twitter said that it will officiallysupport the 'Do Not Track' privacy initiative to honour user requests of nottracking their behaviour.
