Twitter on Thursday shared the list of most popular New Year 2015 resolutions shared by its users on the micro-blogging platform.

"Throughout 2014, we saw Twitter used to celebrate World Cup victories, inspire political activism, and explore the universe," Twitter said via an email statement. "Now as the calendar turns inexorably to the New Year, Tweets offer insight into your resolutions. We took a look at top Tweets about New Year's resolutions to get a sense of which forms of self-improvement take priority. "

According to the findings, Work Out topped the list of New Year 2015 resolutions followed by Be Happy and Lose Weight.

Some of the other top New Year 2015 resolutions were Stop Smoking, Unplug, Be the best (at..), Stop drinking, Love myself, Work harder, and Don't f--k it up.

The top 10 New Year 2015 resolutions were calculated based on ranking of English-only keywords associated with resolutions posted by Twitter users worldwide since December 25.

The micro-blogging site also shared some of the popular tweets from Indian personalities welcoming New Year 2015. These included tweets from the President of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, actor Amitabh Bachchan, and former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, amongst others.

Twitter last month rolled out a list of the most popular tweets and personalities in the year 2014. While the global 'Golden Tweet' was the selfie image posted by Ellen Degeneres during the Oscar awards last year, the Indian 'Golden Tweet' was Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tweet after winning the Lok Sabha elections.

Additionally, the company mentioned the top 10 Indian moments when the number of tweets had peaked on the micro-blogging website.
