HTC's upcoming October 8 event, if a report by a Portuguese website is to be believed, might see the unveiling of the 9-inch HTC-made Nexus tablet, besides the previously rumoured GoPro-Like 16-megapixel waterproof camera, and a selfie-focused smartphone, said to be called the HTC Eye.

The report also details the specifications of the expected HTC Nexus 9 tablet, which are in-line with previous leaks. It is said to feature a Tegra K1 processor might be clocked at 2.3GHz and come paired with 3GB of RAM, a 9-inch full-HD display, 16GB inbuilt storage, 100GB of Google cloud storage for two years, external storage support for 128GB, and the much-awaited Android L - rumoured to be named Android Lemon Meringue Pie (LMP).

Not further details were provided about the rumoured tube-shaped GoPro-Like camera, which is said to feature a 16-megapixel sensor and a waterproof body. Reports from last week had indicated it to feature an ultra wide-angle lens that could be connected to devices running Android and iOS operating systems over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

On Monday, reports indicated the October 8 to see the launch of a 'selfie phone' dubbed HTC Eye, a smartphone featuring a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC. The same handset was previously hinted by @evleaks in July.

In addition, an image leaked by the website shows a statement from Nvidia that confirms the inclusion of its Tegra K1 chipset for the Nexus 9 tablet. Notably, the same document was reportedly spotted last week that stated, "the HTC Nexus 9, expected in the third quarter of 2014, is also expected to use the Tegra K1." The Nvidia legal document was posted on the company's site for a brief time period.

It is difficult to jump to a conclusion whether the October 8 event will really hold the unveiling of the Nexus 9 tablet or just stick to the camera-focused theme that was hinted at by the official teaser invite to the event.
