Vodafone Announces Postpaid Plans With Unlimited Roaming and Voice Calls

Vodafone India on Thursday unveiled new Vodafone Red plans for its postpaid 3G and 4G customers, with two plans offering unlimited roaming and voice calls alongside a healthy data quota.

The first plan, priced a Rs. 1,999, gives a data quota of 8GB (either 3G or 4G), unlimited local and national calls, unlimited roaming, and 500 SMS messages per month. The cheaper Rs. 1,699 plan gives 6GB of 3G/ 4G data, unlimited local and national calls, unlimited roaming (incoming only, outgoing chargeable at Rs. 0.50 per min), and 500 SMS messages per month.

Data consumed over and above the quota will be chargeable at Rs. 0.50 per megabyte, Vodafone said. The company also unveiled four other Vodafone Red plans, with the three 'entry-level' plans offering double data benefits as well.

The Rs. 499 plan gives 1GB of 3G/ 4G data with 700 minutes of of local and national calls, and 500 SMS messages per month. The Rs. 699 plan gives 2GB of 3G/ 4G data with 1,000 minutes of local and national calls, and 500 SMS messages a month. The Rs. 999 plan gives 3GB of 3G/ 4G data, 2,000 minutes of local and national calls, and 500 SMS messages a month.

The Rs. 1,299 Vodafone Red plan that was also unveiled gives 4GB of 3G/ 4G data, 3,000 minutes of local and national voice calls, free roaming (incoming only, outgoing chargeable at Rs. 0.50 per minute), and 500 SMS messages a month.

Speaking about the launch of the new plans, Sandeep Kataria, Director - Commercial, Vodafone India, said, "The postpaid customer's usage behaviour has evolved significantly with higher usage of roaming and data. With the new Vodafone Red, there is no more holding back - we are offering our postpaid customers an all-in-one plan that addresses their roaming, data, and voice needs comprehensively. The built-in quotas with value-added benefits like priority access and a virtual relationship manager, make the Vodafone Red experience truly worry free and delightful."
