Vodafone launches K3800 3G USB dongle for Rs. 1,750

Vodafone India has announced the launch of a new 3G USB dongle in India.

Vodafone K3800 3G dongle is capable of downlink speeds up to 14.4 Mbps and uplink speeds up to 5.76 Mbps. It supports major operating systems like Microsoft Window 8, Mac OS X, Linux, Fedora and Ubuntu. The Vodafone K3800 also doubles up as a memory card reader, with support for microSD cards up to 32GB capacity.

On the software side, the Vodafone K3800 comes with a landing page that lets customers get in touch with Vodafone support over Web chat. Also included is software that lets customers send and receive SMS, with phonebook support. The software also lets you set usage limits, in terms of data usage as well as time.

Commenting on the new launch, Vivek Mathur, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India said, "At Vodafone, we always seek to provide the best products and services at great value for money, to our customers. The launch of Vodafone K3800 3G dongle is well timed to meet the demand for high speed mobile data services. High speed of up to 14.4 Mbps, affordable price and live webchat for support, will make high speed mobile internet accessible to a wider audience base."

Vodafone K3800 is priced at Rs. 1,750 and available in three colour options, Black, Red and a dual-tone White & Red.

Plans for the Vodafone K3800 include a Rs. 175 prepaid plan that offers 1GB data valid 30 days and a Rs. 499 prepaid plan that offers 3GB data valid for 30 days. Postpaid customers can get 4GB data free for two months for Rs. 499. All plans valid in Mumbai, and may vary in other regions.
