LG on Tuesday launched its 4K Oled TV range in India, and said the lineup is now available to purchase at select LG outlets around the country. The range includes two size options, with the 65-inch 4K Oled TV priced at Rs. 5,79,900, and the 55-inch model at Rs. 3,84,900. The TV range is the first from LG to combine Oled technology with a 4K resolution.

Howard Lee, Director-Home Entertainment, LG India, said of the new range, "Once again LG has proved that it is a frontrunner when it comes to innovative technology. With the LG 4K Oled TV, we promise consumers in India the ultimate immersive cinematic experience. Time and again we have initiated ground-breaking innovation and raised the bar not only for ourselves, but for the industry as well. This latest Oled TV underscores LG's commitment to bringing the best in home entertainment to our consumers."

Based on LG's proprietary WRGB panel technology, the 4K Oled TV features four colour pixel technology, with an additional white pixel added to the typical colours. The LG 4K Oled TV has inbuilt Harmon Kardon sound, is just 5.9mm thick at the edges, and is equipped with the LG's WebOS proprietary operating system which improves the smart TV viewing experience with a custom-designed interface, apart from the magic remote, which offers motion-controlled navigation around the smart interface.

LG recently announced that it plans to focus investment in Oled going forward and the launch of this 4K Oled TV range in India can be seen as an indication of LG's seriousness in promoting Oled technology in one of its biggest global markets.
