Sony has launched the Bravia 8 II QD-OLED TV series in India. The lineup includes TVs in two sizes — 55-inch and 65-inch. The smart television is equipped with XR processor with AI features, XR contrast booster, and XR Triluminos Max colour technology. The latter is said to upscale content to near-4K quality. The TV is claimed to support Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology as well as Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. The Bravia 8 II QD-OLED smart TV sports a Slim One Slate design with a smudge-resistant screen texture. 

Sony Bravia 8 II QD-OLED TV Series Price in India, Availability

Sony Bravia 8 II QD-OLED TV series price in India starts at Rs. 2,46,990 for the 55-inch (K-55XR80M2) model, while the 65-inch (K-65XR80M2) variant costs Rs. 3,41,990. The TV is currently available for purchase in the country through the Sony Centre, Sony Exclusive stores, the ShopatSC website and select electronic stores and e-commerce portals.

The Sony Bravia 8 II QD-OLED TV series comes in 55-inch and 65-inch size options with a 2,160x3,840 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision support. The TV is claimed to offer an immersive sound experience and support Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, DTS Digital Surround and Acoustic Surface Audio+ technologies. It is powered by the Sony XR processors with AI features, which are said to detect and analyse data to optimise the picture experience.

Sony's latest Bravia 8 II QD-OLED TV lineup comes with XR contrast booster, XR Clear Image and XR Triluminos Max technologies. They are expected to improve the image quality to true-to-life representations, and the latter is said to help upscale images to 4K-like quality. The TV runs on the Google TV interface out-of-the-box.

The new TVs from Sony Bravia 8 II series come with Sony Pictures Core, which offers access to a library of movies, including 4K HDR and IMAX Enhanced titles. Buyers can enjoy 10 free credits over 24 months to stream select films in 4K Blu-ray quality. Connectivity options on the Sony Bravia 8 II series include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, four HDMI ports, built-in Chromecast, one audio jack, and two USB ports.

The company claims that the Sony Bravia 8 II series TVs can be paired with and optimised for PlayStation 5. They can run 4K games at 120fps and offer features such as variable refresh rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode. It features Auto HDR Tone Mapping and a dedicated Game Menu for quick access to settings like VRR and motion blur.

The Sony Bravia 8 II series supports a Studio Calibrated Modes, including new support for Prime Video Calibrated Mode, alongside existing Netflix and Sony Pictures Core calibrated modes. They allow the picture settings to be automatically adjusted to offer the creator's intended quality across movies, shows, and even live sports.
