Dropbox iOS app update brings swipe gesture-based actions, multiple photo sharing and more
Popular cloud-storage service, Dropbox, has updated its iOS app bringing some new user interface features such as swipe gesture-based actions for individual files and support for sharing multiple images and easy sharing of links to folders.

With swipe gestures, users can swipe to the right on any file listed within the app to share, move, delete, or favorite it through controls that are revealed after performing the action.

The app now also features a 'Share Photos' option in the Photos file view that allows users to select and share multiple pictures through Email, Text message, Facebook message or post, and Twitter or just generate a Dropbox link for them.

With the addition of these features the cloud-based file storage and sharing service becomes even more useful for people who use it on their iPhones and iPads.

Dropbox had previously updated its iOS apps in February adding features like push notifications when another user shares a file, and the ability to sort files by date of modification.

The update had also added a new PDF viewer that had a new lay-out view toggle, through which all pages of the PDF file can be previewed on a single screen and the user can jump straight to the page that he wants to view. The page viewer was also updated bringing in some user interface tweaks, including a new button for searching through text within the document.

For the uninitiated, Dropbox is a free service that allows users to store photos, documents, and videos on the cloud and share them easily. The service claims to have more than 100 million registered users.
