  • iPad users can use features like Goals and smart meetings

Google has now launched its Calendar app for iPad users as well with its latest update. The app was previously available only to Android smartphone, Android tablet, Web, and iPhone users, but now, with version 2.0.0, the Calendar app has been optimised for the iPad as well.

The iPad app gets all the nifty Google Calendar features like Goals that lets you add a goal, automatically marks your set goal as done (when it’s done), and schedules future timings by understanding your daily activity. It aims to help users find the right time to do what they love. It locates the empty slots, and then fits them with your desired activity. It can be activated in the Settings Menu, after which the Calendar app will ask a couple of questions to set the best time for the desired 'goal'. The feature even automatically reschedules the activity should something at work come up or you decide to postpone it in lieu of doing something else.

Google also lets you search your Calendar easily from the iPad home screen with Spotlight Search. iPad users also get the new smart meeting scheduling feature that suggests meeting times and available rooms in your office based on your team’s availability, and also keeps in mind room preferences. It is a useful alternative to the native calendar app on your iPad, and you can download the latest version of Google Calendar for free here.

Recently, Google Calendar also updated its Goals feature to allow integration with Google Fit and Apple Health applications to help people stay on track with their resolutions. With this integration in place, the activities recorded by your Android phone or iPhone will be used to mark users' goals as 'Done' automatically by Google Calendar app.
