John McAfee, best known for having founded the company behind the famous antivirus software, McAfee, has released a new privacy-focussed smartphone messaging app dubbed Chadder. The application is a result of a joint effort between McAfee's Future Tense Private Systems (FTC) and Etransfr.

The Chadder messaging application (currently only for Android and Windows Phone) is mainly focussed on the user's privacy and security while exchanging information, and claims to transfer the data in the form of an encrypted message.

"Chadder is an unprecedented messaging platform. We have developed this highly secure system with an extraordinary team of developers at the prestigious RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology)," stated John McAfee, Founder of FTC. "Chadder is a fun and easy to use messaging app that happens to keep your communications private. So private that we can't see it ourselves"

The Chadder messaging application uses server encryption that means the messaging app can only see the encryption codes of a message when sent from one user to another. Only the receiver can view the original message with no intervention in between.

However, Chadder seems to be in its Beta version as one of the major features of the app failed to work. After cross-checking several times, NDTV Gadgets was able to register and enter the app but was not able to find our colleague with the app installed, by email, phone number or via the name search option.

It has been noted that only after searching users and adding them in the list, one can start conversing. Otherwise, the friend list remains empty. We expect the developers to soon take care of the issue and roll-out a fix in order to let users start conversing.

Chadder is currently available for Android and Windows Phone OS users on Google Play and Windows Phone Store. The app would be available for iOS users on the App Store "in the following weeks."
