Microsoft Edge has eventually debuted on iPad and Android tablets. The new development emerges just a couple of weeks after Microsoft released a beta version of its Edge browser for the iPad. The new app doesn't offer advanced features such as Split View support on iPad. Instead, it comes as a scaled up version of the Edge browser that arrived on Android-based mobile devices and iPhone models last year.

Among other interesting features, Microsoft Edge on iPad and Android tablets comes with an ability to let you continue your Web browsing from your tablet right on your Windows 10 PC. The browser also has Favourites alongside Roaming Favourites that are similar to bookmarks in Chrome. Likewise, there is support for Roaming Passwords that are synced between your Windows 10 desktops and notebooks as well as Android tablet or iPad.

Microsoft has provided a New Tab Page that shows top stories from MSN.com and a unified search bar - powered by Bing Search. The Edge browser on Android tablets and iPad also includes Reading View that removes on-screen distractions to enhance your reading experience. This feature is limited to some websites but is especially useful for tablets compared to smartphones or desktops, as people often prefer a handy device like an Android tablet or an iPad to read online content. Moreover, the Edge browser also includes Reading List that helps you save your favourite Web articles for future reading. This separates the content for reading from the links that you've saved as favourites on the browser.

You can download Microsoft Edge on your Android tablet by visiting Google Play. It is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 and above. The iPad version, on the other hand, is available for download via the App Store and requires iOS 9.0 and later.
