NDTV Launches Faster, Lighter News App for Android

NDTV has launched a revamped news app for Google's Android mobile operating system. The NDTV News app for Android is faster and lighter on resources than before, which translates into better performance on entry-level smartphones.

The app comes with a revamped UI based on Google's Material Design and is designed to make full use of features offered in Android 5.0 Lollipop, though it remains compatible with older Android versions. As always, the NDTV News app offers breaking news alerts and top stories from India and the rest of the world, as well as the latest updates from the worlds of business, entertainment, sports, and more.

The NDTV News app for Android provides an overview of stories popular across the NDTV network and the ability to share them quickly via email, Twitter, Google Plus, WhatsApp, Facebook, and more.

With the NDTV News app for Android, you can watch the latest and most popular video content from NDTV, including live feeds of NDTV 24x7, NDTV India, NDTV Profit, NDTV Prime, and NDTV Good Times. The NDTV News app for Android comes with Google Chromecast support for when you want to watch videos on the big screen.

The app is now available as a free download from Google Play.
