A new iPhone app is here to turn your mugshot into a personalised emoticon.
All you have to do is to download the new app, called Imoji, which lets you turn your selfies or other beloved images into stickers that you can send to your friends.
"Imoji makes your texts more you," the app's website declares. It is easy to use: Take a selfie or photo and edit it to make a sticker that you can include in your text messages.
"Obviously, there's a massive trend that goes on with emoji and stickers...and what it's really all about is people finding new ways to communicate," Tom Smith, an ex-Apple employee, and imojiapp app creator, told TechCrunch detailing why he wanted to work on this app. "People use emoji to describe tone - and fundamentally, it's an easier way to express yourself than punching out of couple of sentences."
The imojiapp does only one thing, and that is to make personalised emojis to brighten up your messages. The Imojis that users create can be shared with all the app's users.
"Where we think things are heading is a more flexible and creative form of communication, one which adds a new dimension to a text message," Tom Smith from Imoji told Forbes. "We've designed Imoji to be just that."
According to TechCrunch, Imoji has been bootstrapped so far, but has now begun discussions with investors in a bid to raise funds.
