I spent ages searching for the perfect laptop and I'm very pleased that I chose this one. 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics card makes this a very powerful laptop and I can run games such as Skyrim on relatively high settings. It boots up incredibly fast due to the SSD. Track pad is very responsive and screen is a good quality. It is slim and looks professional (unlike some bulky over-the-top gaming laptops). The only negative I can think of is that the keyboard is not back lit, but this was not important enough to be a deciding factor for me.

Really powerful computer

I have a model with i7 16Gb RAM and SSD.+ Looks good. Thin and neat. I like it very much+ Metal cover+ Metal keyboard panel. In fact I'm not sure if it is metal: it looks like plastic but feels cold and quite hard.+ Ultra HD is amazing. Supercool sharp picture, fonts looks really good, 4K videos from youtube work perfectly. 15.6 inches are more than enough.+ Robust body. Feels strong and solid. No creaks or anything even when it is moved or lays on something that is not flat.+ Good battery life: 6+ hours internet browsing. Right now I'm writing this it shows 3:20 hours remaining time with 50% charge+ The system does not get too hot. When you don't do anything requiring a lot of CPU power it does not activate the cooler at all.+ SSD is fast and silent. I don't need to write about that.+ Sound is surprisingly good but that is really depends on what the laptop stands on because the speakers are on the bottom side.- When you do something that needs CPU power the cooling system gets quite loud. When you are watching movie in the night that can become annoying.- Related to the same point: when you use the microphone it can hear the cooler VERY WELL. A guy i was talking to via Skype asked me once if i'm doing any kind of construction work at the computer.- Air intake is on the bottom side. Be careful using the computer in a bed or on some soft surface.- Keyboard layout is a bit uncomfortable. You can not adjust volume with one hand because you need to press Fn+F11 which are too far away. OK, that is not a big problem but when it is dark you can not find where is F11 or F12 by touch. Why didn't they make the volume on Fn+Arrow keys like on Acer laptops or separate buttons like on Lenovo? The Insert does not have its separate key, you need to press Fn+Del for Insert. And Del is also not in the very intuitive place. Personally I'd prefer not having the numeric keyboard but all the keys like PgUp, Home, Insert etc. in better places.- Touchpad is OK but it is not possible to set up scrolling with circle gesture and the momentum function does not exist.Despite all that negative points I would highly recommend this computer.

Just brought this laptop. Only loaded top end Revit 2017 and Autocad 2017 so far but it is rapid - the graphics card appears to be out if date for AutoCAD though! Start up is almost instantaneous and shut down the same. Silent operation and handling what I throw at it despite the graphics card message. Nice interface, simple set up and the 4K display is stunning. Great purchase so far. Thumbs up.

Excellent laptop. Very fast and powerful processor. I use it mostly for photo-processing and other creative uses (not gaming). Very pleased with the purchase.

Body solid, speed good, screen fantastic.

It's a fantastic laptop would highly recommend. it's super quick and boots in seconds, can play decent games on it like skyrim and fallout 3 as well as civ 5 all on super high settings and higher spec games on medium settings like fallout 4. Love the keyboard so nice to type on. Only problem i can think of is when you video call people the mic is placed near the air intake and when i was skyping my friend they said it sounded like a hurricane, I just use a head phones with a mic though which has solved this problem. screen quality is amazing, super sharp and never any glare, i love that its 4k although my internet is to slow to load any 4k vids on youtube.Its so light weight and sleek the aluminium finish makes it feel very high quality and the keyboard and mouse pad also feel very high quality. the battery life is only ok can get 3hrs ish playing games or watching videos and a full charge.Overall I would say this is a fantastic laptop and is worth the money.

amazing laptop. 100% recomended

I bought this notebook for my daughter to do her jobs on Photos and video's editing.All the features are so good and it is built in good solid materials presented in a low weigh body.The general performance is very sactisfatory.I remark the smaller and lighter battery compared to the patterns of the similar machines, which produces lower heat as well.So my daughter and I are very satisfied with everything about it, except the SSD drive capacity (256 GB - 237 real space), which is a thing to think of.It makes a very affordable cost x benefit's relation and the price is really worth it.

Awesome LaptopI have been saving up for a laptop for about a year and when I saw this laptop in my budget I went for it.I was attracted by the design and specification. Yes its lacking in a few areas but more than makes up for it in others.The 4k screen is lovely. Very crisp and clear to look at.The boot up speed is very fast, thanks to the SSD.The graphics card is good for what I need. I play a few games on it and am very impressed.Fan noise is not too loud.The look and feel of the laptop is very nice and its not too heavy.Overall this is a very well built, good spec laptop and I am very happy with this laptop.

This is a great laptop. The touch pad may take a little getting use to but the design and power us great.

Firstly, this laptop is very solid all-around. The keyboard is responsive and feels good to use, the screen quality is crisp and the SSD runs fast. As someone who uses a Macbook Pro every day at work, this is a very solid contender for a lot cheaper.A few small gripes I have with the laptop, and they are small, are:1. Unless you have massive hands you need to use 2 hands to be able to increase the volume on the laptop, which seems like an ergonomic flaw in the keyboard layout.2. The cooling fan starts and stops frequently, and is quite loud, even when only performing minor tasks. This is very minor, and you would probably get used to this with time.One major problem which I have recently encountered, which has led to the 3 stars, is that the screen has started to show vertical dark blurred lines coming from the bottom of the screen. I believe that the backlighting is broken. This laptop has only been used a handful of times since I purchased it back in February, so this issue should not be happening.

I purchased this item yesterday and after using this for 24 hours I am considering returning the item. The Pros are that the machine is superfast, reasonably light and all the other positives that other reviewers mention. The cons: There is a bizarre flickering (like static on a really old television) which appears intermittently on the left half of my screen. Amazon is amazing and is sending out a replacement which hopefully solves the problem but I will find out shortly. There are some moderately annoying design flaws: 1) the case is metal and when I type, my watch (also metal band) makes an awful scratching noise. 2) The touch mousepad is hard to get used to. Since the whole pad is touch sensitive, whenever I try to click the right mouse button the mouse pointer moves and I then end up moving off of the item I want to right-click. So I need to click several times on the right button to get it to work. The fan goes on/off frequently and while its not super loud it is noticeable and slightly annoying (and Ive read affects skype calls due to the location of the built in mic)..Finally the hard drive is a bit small for a laptop of this caliber -- should be at least 512gbOverall assuming the monitor issues are fixed (which would lead to a 4-star review) I still think its an amazing laptop and will easily learn to work around the issues highlighted above. For my needs (moderate business/social) it is completely adequate and should last many years.

Spec is great and I liked the laptop except for one major flaw; the 4k screen. Whilst everything is crystal clear, many applications do not support 4k resolution and as soon as I tried to install applications such as VMware, Photoshop, VLC player etc I quickly discovered that the resolution on this screen size makes the everything unbearably small. A workaround is to lower the resolution to 1920 x 1080 but this not only makes the 4k screen pointless, it is actually more blurry than if you just bought a 1920 x 1080 laptop. I had to return this laptop for this reason, after days of searching online and troubleshooting (apparently it is a well known issue, affecting many applications with no fixes likely to come to soon). It's a real shame, I would love to get the same laptop, with the same spec and the standard 1920 x 1080 resolution but unfortunately that is not an option so I will have to look at other laptop brands. Be warned, and ensure you do plenty of research on the problems currently associated with 4k laptops (especially with a screen of this size).

This computer did not perform anywhere near ehat I was expecting. Very slow. Connections tp usb, HDMI, speakers were very loose. Froze several times. Given great reviews by others, I guess mine was faulty. Amazon customer service were five star and agreed to give me a refund (within the one month grace period). No way was I risking a replacement, I bought a HP Envy instead.
