Awesome price compared to big box stores, has all the power I needed for a specialty mapping program. The finish seems a little flimsy because it?s plastic inside and out but that makes it very light to carry. I don?t notice strange fan noises or anything. I?m happy!

So happy I settled on this computer. Easy setup, works great and does more than I even expected. I have faith in ASUS and have purchased many laptops of theirs for both family and businesses....not an issue with any and most are over 10 years old. If I ever have a question or need any assistance with my laptops, I KNOW the great service I will receive from ASUS customer care. Thank you ASUS!!!!

Like the laptop but memory upgrade was problem because there was only one slot you can add of 8 gig memory other slot 4gig memory is fixed in the slot.

The headphone jack doesn?t work on mine. The screen quality is pretty low.

Battery life horrible

I wanted an I7 to get some more compute power but the slow disk performance makes the overall Windows performance absolutely dismal. Consider buying a SSD drive.

After getting it up and running with the basics it was super slow and the space key would stick. I returned it. :(

i ordered the unit that said it came with a dvd drive. they sent a unit with no dvd. factory explained that other models have the dvd drive, not mine. im sorry, but when i am ordering something that specifically said it has a dvd drive in the product description, it has the model #, the price, and the quote of having a dvd, and i click to buy this very laptop and i get something different. not cool. asus needs to be flagged from amazon.

Cheap plastic keyboard. Screen jerks all over the place. Continuous pop ups. I bought this to replace an ASUS and I wish I hadn't. Pure junk.

Meh

Expect disk usage to sit at 100% at all times, even without any programs open. If Windows updates itself, expect it to take an hour, just from the disk being so slow. Freshly rebooted without programs open it will sit at 100% disk, and ~75% memory with plenty of hard faults.

Works for what I need so farNew update I use 2 a month for paying Bill's, and it's not running it take forever to load. Have to keep rebooting it . My husband is irate with it.

The mouse pad is terrible. The wifi adapter card is the absolute cheapest money can buy. It has the processor and 1080p screen you want but everywhere they could have cut corners they did. A laptop with fewer pixles and a bit slower processor but more quality components will serve you much better.

Cheaply made. Was not impressed with the build quality at all. Godawful slow. Seriously couldn't believe how sluggish this laptop is.

I bought this for my husband who does not do a lot on the computer so I thought this would be a nice little cheap alternative since his computer was dying. I bought it because ASUS has a really good name but I guess their good name did not include this computer. The computer is incredibly slow, it does not do what he wants when he wants so often I can hear him yelling at it. It freezes often and won't shut down so he has had to unplug it to turn it off so he can restart it. Don't waist your money on the cheap version.

Got one of these for a buddy. Works fast enough etc... but the wifi signal is terrible, and it's literally 2 inches from the modem/router. Tried to plug in an ethernet cord to hardwire it before I realized, YOU CAN'T. Constantly skipping and buffering on everything from Netflix to live streams. Again, it's literally a couple inches away from the wifi source. Unbelievable. If you really want to use streaming video, or even Netflix, do not buy this computer. Find one with a network card.

You would think they could have this figured out actual people use laptops by now but they haven't. One small tsp spill on one corner was enough to fry this laptop left to right entirely. I know this because they showed me pictures. The shame is on me for using it outside of a controlled environment apparently.My previous Asus failed after two years without reason. That is also a mystery. I don't have a lot of faith in the brand anymore. It is not built to last as it once was (I am typing from an Asus from 2008).I hadn't considered other brands before this happened but I am now. So should you.This laptop also comes with a warning "do not leave it plugged into power unless in use"They didn't tell me that before I bought it. Might explain my last Asus failure which couldn't have had a spill as it was quarantined.

That's definitely the worse laptop I've ever bought. The battery life is bad. When unplugged it last max 1 hours, and when plugged in it takes forever to charge. Plus, it takes forever to upload a simple YouTube page. Personally, I don't recommend this laptop

Insanely slow. most likely due to the hybrid drive. Don't be fooled by the SSD portion. You need a full SSD hard drive, not a hybrid. If you can replace the hard drive with a full SSD you might be happy but that will cost you an extra $100.
