About Crimes of the Future Movie (2022)

In the distant future, climate change and pollution have peaked, biotechnology has advanced, and the human body is evolving to adapt to the new synthetic environment.

A small kid (Sozos Sotiris), for instance, has developed a mutation to feed on and easily digest everything plastic.

Similarly, Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen) has developed a rare disorder in which he keeps growing new vestigial organs.

He, along with his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), decide to capitalise on the phenomenon and publicly showcase the metamorphosis of his organs in a grand fashion.

To put it in simpler terms, the celebrity performance artist couple surgically remove his newly-grown vestigial organs in front of a live audience.

Although the sci-fi body horror shares the title with David Cronenberg’s 1970 drama, the two are not at all related.
