The final trailer for Justice League arrived on Sunday, which shows the team of superheroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg – trying to save Earth from the end of the world.

While Superman is still missing from action, Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) does make an appearance in the beginning, but it's not clear if it's Lois Lane's (Amy Adams) dream or reality. Post that, a voice on the radio tells us that violence has been on the rise, with newspapers calling it a "world without hope".

Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne talks about the nightmare he had in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the one involving the flying Parademons. Later in the trailer, the main villain Steppenwolf appears too, as Wonder Woman protects herself with her shield.

The trailer closes out with Ezra Miller's Barry Allen (aka The Flash) geeking out over the Bat symbol while standing next to Wayne and Gal Gadot's Diana Prince. "That means we have to go now," Allen excitedly remarks to which a slightly exasperated Wayne replies: "Yeah, that's what that means."

Justice League hasn't had the easiest road to the screen. The negative reaction to last year's Batman v Superman pushed Warner Bros. to adopt a lighter tone, as evident by scenes such as the latter. Moreover, the film has faced extensive reshoots, compounded by the departure of Zack Snyder in the wake of a family tragedy.

Joss Whedon, the director of The Avengers and who moved into the DC Films stable to take on Batgirl, has overseen the rest of the production. Justice League releases on November 17.
