We've come to expect China-based Gionee to push the boundaries of smartphone slimness. The Elife S5.5 and its successor, the Elife S5.1 (Review | Pictures) - the model numbers indicate their slimness in mm - are examples from the recent past. However, other Chinese brands such as Oppo and Vivo have launched even thinner models and the title of the slimmest smartphone now lies with the Vivo X5Max (Review | Pictures).

The Gionee Elife S7 veers away from the brand's obsession of making the slimmest smartphone and concentrates on improving the pertinent issues with such devices instead. And in more ways than one, Gionee succeeds in this attempt - there are no heating issues and the ergonomics are great too. Also, the camera is a good performer in daylight. Gionee manages to distinguish itself from the competition and we like the new direction that the brand has decided to take.

Very very bad experiance with gionee s7 elifeDr.ajaysingh Pardeshi (Sep 17, 2016) on Gadgets 360Dont go for gionee s7elife..recently i got very bad experience with this product,it got screen problem automaticaly witheen 6month frm purchasing,n i submitted to gionee service centre then they asked me for 9200rs charge for repairing....ohh its market value is around 13 to 14k now n they are asking me 9200rs charges that is to be in warranty period..... So pls dont go for any of gionee mobile....Is this review helpful?
