Personally Tech is our weekly column on the apps and gadgets that people from different walks of life love and live by. We talk to people who are leading different fields and asked them about their technology setup, and how tech has changed their lives.

Ashish Kashyap is the CEO of the Ibibo group. While the company first launched as a social network, it has gone through several incarnations and today, it includes Goibibo, Redbus and holds a minority stake in PayU global, a payments service.

Kashyap is an Apple fan, who uses a MacBook Air and an iPhone 5s, but his work means that he also carries Android and Windows Phone devices. While he's willing to tote all different phone sizes, he remains unconvinced about tablets, despite having an iPad Air in the house which his daughter uses. Read on to know more about his life in gadgets.

1. Describe your technology setup - what computer/ phone/ tablet/ camera/ gaming console/ other gadgets do you use?

Ashish Kashyap: At my home, I have three Netgear wireless routers so that the whole house is covered with a strong Wi-Fi network, that's linked to a 16Mbps broadband connection. For entertainment, I have an Apple TV which connects my iPhone 5s and my wife's iPhone 5.

It also connects to a MacBook Air that my wife and I share, and my daughter's iPad Air.

Being in the Internet sector, I currently use all the major operating systems - iOS, Android and Windows. Therefore I am always connected to three mobile handsets. My iPhone 5s is my primary phone, and I keep a Samsung Galaxy S II and a Nokia Lumia 1520. I am not a big fan of tablets and have not found any significant value in them.

At my office I use collaborative multiple user screens; our computers are connected wirelessly to these screens.

Ashish Kashyap: Number one is of course Goibibo. WhatsApp has become essential for communication, for both work and otherwise. Google Maps is equally important for getting around, especially when traveling.

3. What is the one gadget (other than your phone) you never travel without?

Ashish Kashyap: My Macbook Air - it's essential for work.

4. What is your dream gadget/ technology setup?

Ashish Kashyap: My dream is to have a tech set up wherein I can manage all my residential gadgets remotely and have all devices go wireless.

5. How has technology changed the way in which you work?

Ashish Kashyap: Thanks to the power of Internet and cloud, the biggest change has been device convergence and collaboration. The way we work now with remote displays connecting wirelessly to our laptops is one example. We can now project HD videos from our iPhones onto our 50-inch TV thanks to Apple TV. This interconnectedness of devices is a huge step that really changes the world.
