Amazon Web Services are facing trouble today, leading to the downtime on various websites including Quora and HipChat. Company has blamed power loss for the outage and is currently working to fix the issues.

The AWS issue seems to be limited to company's facilities in North Virginia, which was also a part of last year's massive outage in April. Amazon's EC2 and RDS services have been affected by the problem.

"We are investigating degraded performance for some volumes in a single AZ in the us-east-1 region," Amazon posted on its status website at 9:20AM IST.

Amazon outage also seems to have impacted Heroku, a division of Salesforce.
