Microsoft's Skype team on Wednesday introduced a new share button for websites, which would make it easier for users to "engage in richer conversations about the content immediately."

The Skype blog post adds that they have teamed-up with MSN.com website, where the Skype share button would reach first in the world. In India, Skype has collaborated with Sify.com for its share button. It can be seen on the two websites. The share button would reach other websites soon.

Users would simply have to click on the Skype share button to share content via the instant messaging service. On clicking, a new window would pop-up showing a list of Skype users with whom you want to share the content. If you have not logged in to your Skype account, the pop-up windows would first ask for your log in. You can then choose multiple Skype users and click on 'Send'. An option to add a message along with the link is also present.

The firm said website and blog developers can add the Skype share button to their sites by integrating a small code snippet. Also noted is that there are multiple button layouts for desktop and mobiles sites.

Microsoft last month brought Skype voice and video integration into Office Online and Outlook.com. The feature will make it easier for users to talk to their colleagues and friends while working on Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other Office Online services.

Skype for Android and iOS also got video filters feature last month. The team added support for 3D Touch in its Skype app for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users. Users can force touch the Skype icon and see search and calling options in the contextual menu without having to open the app. In addition, inside the app, users can get a peek into conversations and video chats.
