Asus has launched the GTX750TI-OC-2GD5 and GTX750-PHOC-1GD5 graphics cards in India, based on the Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GeForce GTX 750 GPUs respectively. These are Nvidia's latest GPUs, based on the brand new Maxwell microarchitecture, which improves performance and reduces power consumption by half compared to the previous generation. The two cards are priced at Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 12,000 respectively.

The Asus GTX 750 Ti and GTX 750 cards are overclocked for faster performance than Nvidia's reference designs. The GTX 750 has a base clock of 1059MHz which can rise to 1137MHz on demand, and the GTX 750 Ti is clocked at 1072MHz by default which can go up to up to 1150 MHz.

Asus claims that its dust-proof fans and superior power components improve the lifespan of its cards. The fans are designed to dissipate heat more efficiently. The GTX 750 Ti uses two fans for improved airflow, while the concrete-core chokes and hardened MOSFETs can withstand more heat and stress.

Asus also bundles its exclusive GPU Tweak utility which helps users overclock their GPUs easily and safely.

The GeForce GTX 750 Ti has 640 "stream processor" cores while the GTX 750 has 512. Both GPUs use the same 128-bit memory bus. Asus's GTX 750 Ti comes with 5GB of GDDR5 RAM while its GTX 750 comes with 1 GB. The Maxwell architecture is engineered for low power consumption, thanks to various optimisations to the instruction scheduler, cache, compiler, and video encoding block. Nvidia has emphasized the GPUs' low heat dissipation, making cards based on them well suited to living-room PCs, home theatre PCs and other small-form-factor applications.
