Asus has launched the WL-330NUL, what it claims is the world's smallest router, in India. The device is aimed at customers who travel frequently, especially those who use multiple devices like ultrabooks, smartphones, and tablets to get online.

With its router capabilities, the WL-330NUL allows sharing a single connection on multiple devices, which will come in handy at hotels or other venues that place restrictions on the number of devices that customers can connect at the same time. For users who travel often and require connectivity on notebooks, tablets, smartphones, easy sharing can add to major savings.

Commenting on the launch, Vinay Shetty, Country Head - Component Business, Asus (India) said, "The WL-330NUL has been engineered to offer full router functionality in a miniaturised form factor. It operates in multiple modes, including router, Ethernet, Wi-Fi hotspot, and access point."

The Asus WL-330NUL has very minimal energy requirements for full-functionality, and can be connected directly to the wall via the bundled power adapter or receive power from any USB connection. It can also be paired with mobile power banks.

The WL-330NUL also pairs with ultrabooks via USB, and the RJ-45 Ethernet port on the WL-330NUL provides an option to use wired Internet access on these machines, which often lack an Ethernet port.

Stressing the portability of the device, Shetty added, "The WL-330NUL is as easy to carry and handle as a USB stick."
