HP unveils Envy Spectre XT ultrabook

  • HP has unveiled the Envy Spectre XT ultrabook adding to its Envy series, which will ship next month starting at $999.
HP has announced the latest addition to their Envy lineup today in the form of the Envy Spectre XT ultrabook. The ultrabook sports a metallic build with a sleek and ultra thin design . It features Intel's latest Ivy Bridge processor. HP will begin shipping it in the US next month.

At a starting price of $999, the Envy Spectre XT will offer users 4GB RAM and a 128GB Solid State Drive. A major improvement in the Spectre XT comes in the form of its revamped design. The ultrabook measures 14.5mm in thickness and is lighter at 3.79 pounds as opposed to the Envy Spectre 14. It claims to offer up to 8 hours of battery life.

Other features of the Envy Spectre XT include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a backlit keyboard and an HD webcam.
