LG 1.5 Ton 3 Star Inverter Split AC (JS-Q18CPXD) User Reviews and Ratings

Was confused about which brand to buy. When I weighed all factors, after sales service stood out as the most important one. LG without doubt has the best customer service in home electronics across all brands domestic or foreign. Hence decided on LG.This model is exactly similar to store models in features, but comes at lower price. Checked with LG that all warranty is applicable, including installation promise, even if bought from Amazon. There again LG was helpful and responsive on the phone (unlike Hitachi, which cud not even tell me address of local dealer from where I could buy).Amazon delivered AC in less than 24 hours.LG called up to fix appointment for installation in less than 24 hours after delivery.Within 48 hours of delivery, without having to make a single phone call, AC was installed.Installation technicians came at given time, did their work without making any fuss. Did a fairly neat and clean job, no complaints.AC works well, super silent in "sleep" mode.Do note, it has only up/down swing, no horizontal (sideways) swing, even though remote has button for it.Outer unit, is not too big, and makes little noise.But since this is aluminium, you should think about whether you live in a place which has corrosive air. Though it comes with 5 year warranty which will protect you from any damage to alu coil (and gas leakage).Now the only thing left is for it to work trouble free till much beyond warranty period.

Delivery was quick, infact on the next day.Installation was quick. Got lot of calls from LG customer care to ensure installation was done.Technicians who installed were good and installed as per my suggestion.AC is really good, less noisy indoor unit. Infact the out door unit also produces less noise.Cooling done in just 3-4 minutes.I recommend this AC.

Important - The specs mentioned in Amazon are wrong. This model is more energy efficient and consumes lesser power and has more features that what is mentioned in amazon. Thankfully I checked the specs in LG. If not I would have bought a cheaper model which had inferior specs.It was great deal during the sale. It was on sale for Rs.35.5K and I will get 2.5K amazon pay cashback. So that is just 33K.The Rs.499 standard installation promise was honored by LG. They collected just Rs.499 as promised. I already had a AC stand and stabilizer.They charged me Rs.500 to un-mount the old AC. So total amount paid was 1K. The installation was perfect.The delivery was done in less than 48 hours from order date and installation happened in less than 24 hours from time of delivery. I didn't have to do any follow up. The primary reason for opting for LG was customer service and LG proved it they have excellent customer service (at least in metros where I reside)As far as the AC is concerned it cools a 16*12 room in under 10 minutes in jet/turbo mode. Even @ 26 C the room was pretty chill. Hoping for a good energy efficiency. The AC LED light acts as a night lamp too. Its pretty bright for a AC LED in a dark room.The ISEER of this model is 3.86 and power consumption is 1760W. Not 3.68 and 1840 as mentioned by Amazon. I have given a feedback to them that the specs are wrong. Not sure how long they would take before updating.Only Con: The conderser is aluminum and not copper. But according to Bijli Bachao if we stay 6-7 kms from the sea then corrosion chances are slim. So if are living right off the coast think twice before buying. If not go ahead with this one.As far as I know this model has the best energy efficiency and features in the sub 35K range.The expected energy consumption is 1,044 units of power for 1,600 hours of operation.

I read some of the negative reviews on this product which caused be to have some doubt then on the product. But I also noticed that this AC was selling fast on the current sale and has a 10 year warranty and is from a reputed brand.Just updating that I brought this unit (Actually I have brought two units - one from another website earlier), and it was delivered on time and even installed on the very same day by LG. The LG technicians who came did a good job in removing my old split, rewiring and installing the AC. Because my installation involved removing the old unit and putting the new one in a different location, it took around 4 hours to install. They came from the nearby LG company showroom. The AC is good quality, good design and works absolutely fine in its cooling. It is also pretty quiet.Other companies do not mention the star rating for their inverter AC's. I checked Daikin, Blue Star and they don't. Let me clarify that any inverter AC between Rs. 35000 - 43000 currently is 3 star. But even at 3 star this AC has an EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) of 3.85 which is better than the likes of Blue Star.Star rating should not really matter in an Inverter AC as the inverter technology for saving electricity cost is based on reducing the electricity consumption by the compressor, as the room becomes cooler. So a 1500-1700 watt AC may just end up using 400-500 watts once the room cools. So a 3 star inverter AC will still save much more than a conventional 5 star AC.It is too early for me to comment on power savings and will update on that later.I wrote this review so other people who have a doubt basis some negative reviews can take a more informed decision. People are 10 times more likely to post a review if they have a negative experience, and normally people tend to ignore posting reviews if the product works fine. Hope this helps you with your decision.Update - it's been a month and both AC's are running fine. They cool the room quickly and there is really no noise you can hear inside the room. Outdoors unit is also much quieter than my conventional 5 star AC.

Thanks guys for amazing reviews for they helped me choose this product. There were so many people confusing you or clouding your own judgement! I trust LG for whatever products I bought earlier before this were great. I have to retire one of them as it became old and not that it stopped working. My refrigerator is still going strong, in 15 years of it's business I never had any problem with the coil. So it doesn't matter whether this ac has a copper coil or an alloy. I do know that it'll live a long life, and I might have to retire this one too. Plus there support system is best. So if your product by any chance develops any problem, it'll be taken care of. Plus it's IEER rating is 3.86 highest among every other refrigerator I came across in this price range, so save electricity! It's also using R-410A refrigerant. Good for environment! There are cheap AC's available in the market but they're all using R22 gas, which is bad for ozone layer. Plus R22 gas will be phased out by 2020. So it's all your choice in the end. Amazon's delivery is kinda okay! I ordered two of these, and they sent one of the indoor units of some other model. And also there is no replacement policy as of now, so I am returning the complete package. One unit got installed, and I'll again place order for the second unit. Stay chill! Happy cooling! Ha! Taddaaaaaa!

Really good product. Worth each penny. Product is as described and was totally new and unpacked. Totally satisfied with Amazon's awesome packaging and delivery system. Amazon helped me not to visit local shops to bargain and waste my time and energy, as a parent of 2 small kids, it would have been painful.

Specifications mentioned here are wrong, please check on lg website this model is actually bigger in size with higher cooling capacity. Best ac specs in this price

I got the Q18CPXD from Amazon on 14th may.Product was delivered on 15th may.After delivery you will receive a sms from Amazon with LG service center details.Called them and installation was done on 16th may.Timely delivery and installation was done without any fuss.AC is very good with rapid cooling and good efficiency.Go for CPXD instead of ATXD as the only difference is anti-mosquito technology which is not very useful.Installation was totally free for me as I got the product when there was free installation offer on Amazon worth 1500.V-guard stabilizer VG-400 was also bought from Amazon for 1499/- and that too is working fine.They say it's not necessary to put stabilizer for inverter model ac, but in India the power supply is not totally stable. So it's better to be safe than sorry. So install a v-guard stabilizer as well.

On time delivery by Amazon and prompt response from LG. Amazon arranged the call for installation and the LG person came with in 2 hours of product arrival. Ac is working great at a temperature of 45+ in rajasthan. It does not make any noise and cools very fast. Satisfied with my purchase.

A nice product from the Amazon, it has dual inverter technology which is the very cool feature. Also the packaging and delivery was timely and nice. The installation person came to install the product at 3 days after i received the item. Ac is working nice without any issue so far, i got this item at very discounted price from the Amazon.
