It seem review by some persons who gave 1 star to this phone but i don't think so. i use this phone day camera quality is good as compared to micromax a89 i have seen both camera quality battery is main problem in a89 which a72 is better & better. only one problem is with ram which 256mb but micromax increased to 512mb ram now. see micromax info page this rate 5" screen never i like this phone all person are not similar

This is a android phone with gingerbread. Battry back up is more which is capable to stand up in more time. The phone look also good and same the features. If you want to buy the don't waste the time just go for it and buy this mobile phone. All the applications are good in this phone and work properly.

This phone is supposed to compete with the asha series and rex series and is a introductory phone for android newbies. Micromax has done a great job at it. The phone compared to Nokia Asha and Samsung Rex and other no name brands of feature phones fares extremely well in the category its meant for.... the lack of 3G is solved by fast and reliable wi-fi ( Supports wifi Hotspot conversion too). Micromax is now the 2nd biggest mobile brand in india. Lets see now : 1. 5 inch multitouch screen. (biggest screen in economical phones.) 2. 200+mb ram ( more than enough for basic functions.) 3. 1GHz Processor 4. Android OS (albeit 2.3.x) , Multitasking and Highly Customisable. 5. Large collection of apps courtesy play store. ( Social network apps(Facebook,Twitter,G+) ,Torrent clients, MX player, Basic Games, Chat clients(Whatsapp,Viber,Wechat), VOIP calls and video calls possible. ) 6. Rootable and can be memory swapped to increase internal mem to 32GB via a 32GB memory card(class 10 micro sd card), and increase ram to 4GB using ROESOFT Ram Expander. 7. Its a android device you can easily program it using a lots of prog tools and game SDKS. 8. A 32GB expandable card slot. 9. Front Camera( video chatting via wi-fi. ) and 3 mp rear camera.(dont cry for lack of flash at this price range) 10. WI-FI B/G/N (note that nokia 501 only has wifi b/g it lacks n support) 11. Custom ROMS and support as it has a open source OS. 12. Easy to use and good build for the low cost segment. Its blue variant is cute. and good protective flap cover. 13. 2000 mah battery (its a lot of battery power for a low end device.) Verdict : Buy it if you want a phone and smart device at a low price. I bought this phone a month ago and i am very happy with this!!! Micromax is giving a great phone at this price range!! It only lacks the 3G... I will suggest everyone to take this phone those who are having a price range of 6K!!

look at it this way - no 3G - internal memory only 110 MB (but you can very easily move installed applications to SD card) - 256 MB RAM But other than this - 1 GHz and Android 2.3 is fast - Front VGA camera so u can skype (not available in all phones in this range) - 5" display is very good. - Touch is as good as any other high end phone - Perfect for playing games ( I played Temple Run 2 and car racing games and it works like gem) - Good for videos (720p mkv movies are easily supported on MX Player) - Browsing over Wifi is seamless (but I havn't tried on 2G network) - Battery life is better than other smartphones in this range As is said, It does not have 3G. Other than this, it is as good as any other high end phone. I loved it because of its display.

internet speed is good.. hd video suppotable... but internel memory is very low... you can play all best 3D games camera is also good... but it has no SENSOR... and no flash light with camera.... BUT ALL OVER IT'S BEST MOBILE...

Got this phone and it has 512mb of ram and not 256mb. games like subway surfers and temple run2 works flawlessly. Almost all games are compatible with this phone like nfsmw, real racing and even asphalt 7. best phone for 6000rs price range..

Not bad. If you are looking for a fancy phone in a very small budget , this might be it. Good resolution and display. However, camera is not that great and the back button in my phone was kind of bit woompy. You needed to keep on pressing until you find the right touch spot. Unfortunately, fell in water and went beyond replacement within 1 month of purchase. My bad though.

Its looking nice and it is also a slim.Android and all facilities are available in this canvas phone like spell check,dual sim ,world map,good camera etc.

Got this phone for my girlfriend. She basically needed a large screen to read her books on the go, plus watch movies and videos. Viva fit the bill perfectly, though she was disappointed by the lack of a flash on the back camera. She intended to use it for light work only, usually reading books and browsing the net. On both counts the phone performs flawlessly. Rendering of comics and varied book formats is good on the relevant apps. The net runs smoothly but the RAM is an issue. Large pages, such as when you're browsing flipkart in desktop mode and moving down an endless list of articles, the phone tends to crash. Basic games run smoothly. I installed Temple Run 2, Raging Thunder 2 and Subway Surfers Paris on it, and all ran smoothly. The phone also has a 5 inch highly vivid display. together, they make gaming a pleasurable experience. Further, the phone does not seem to have the heating issues associated with many of the phones in this range. Movies run great, but only about SD quality. I tried running HD movies, but some or the other problem crops up. Sound quality is average, and the earphones leave something to be desired. Other cons of this device include its weight. Now a phablet isn't expected to be paper-light, but this baby can fracture someones's skull if dropped on him/her. For those used to holding a phablet while talking without handsfree, I guess it won't be much of a problem, but for people used to 3'' and 4" phones, it seems like holding a tile to your ear. the flip cover bundled with the set doesn't make life any easier. Though she is quite satisfied, I was personally disappointed by the fact that Micromax is still giving Gingerbread when it released a ICS phone in the same price segment ages ago. It's understandable that giving 5 inch screen forces one to economise in other aspects, but the OS (unupgradable as far as I'm aware) is a let down. So is the single core processor, but not so much since it does the job well enough. Lastly the RAM and User memory are very low. This means that higher end games cannot be run on this device. Verdict : Gamers and heavy users, stay away from this device. However, if you would prefer to trust Micromax to Karbonn and other brands, and would like to have a large screen with great display, go for it. Just remember though that the phone is already getting outdated in terms of hardware and software, so if you're planning to buy it, buy it fast or go for something newer.

viva has a large screen ,but very low- ram,internal storage and many things .android version is basic[2.3.6 gingerbread].but the battery life is good,camera is not so cool.

I always look out for Micromax new phones. When i heard about this Canvas Viva i'm eager to know more of its specification. But i came to know that it has only 2G network, outdated version of Android (2.3.6), Poor Camera, less Internal Memory, Price is too high for Rs 6499/-. With this price range good specification phone like Lava Iris 405 (Full HD Recording support, 2GB user memory, 5MP camera, 3G support, Android 4.1 etc2) is available around Rs 5800 - Rs 6049/- I think Canvas Viva is a mistake by Micromax...

Dear all, Even After readings all reviews in net, i took this A72 model, just after 10 days only its getting struck and when after speaking call the screen will never appear for 15 to 20 sec.. we dont have option to disconnect call also.. After keeping Memory card also same problems repeating... Please never buy it and never loose valuable moneyy... I lost it any way...

I never find this kind of worest mobile. unable to hear voice of others. performance was very very poor. bad experience with Miromax Canvas A72

I own MMX Canvas 110 which is far better than it but that is bit expensive but it has same screen size.....This phone is not meant for playing...Micromax thinks that only the title canvas will make it popular..Owning this crappy phone just means that you are wasting your Time & Money..

overall phone is good, sound quality id best but battery ***** big tym. max 6 hrs it will work in one stretch.
