New leaks indicate that the upcoming iPhone handset, believed to be dubbed iPhone 6, will feature rounded edges and sport an overhauled design as well.

An image posted by an Italian site named Macitynet, first picked up by Macrumors, shows an alleged iPhone 6 mock-up featuring the sleep/ wake button on the side of the device, instead on the top panel.

Further, the leaked physical mock-up made by a case manufacturer hints that the next generation iPhone will come with curved edges. However, it is yet to be seen whether Apple will do away with its current straight-edge design seen on the iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s.

An earlier report, in-line with the current leaked physical mock-up image, had suggested that the iPhone 6 would sport a design reminiscent to Squair's cases that makes iPhone cases sporting rounded edges that protrude from the iPhone's chassis.

The site claims that the alleged iPhone 6 physical mock-up shows the 4.7-inch model, although there is no word on the screen size of the mock-up handset.

In addition, Macitynet claims that the prototype has been refined over a period of time and closely resembles the yet-to-be-launched iPhone 6. The site adds, "In practical terms, it was explained, in recent months there have been various "versions" experienced by manufacturers of accessories (and these were modeled and rendered drawings of the iPhone 6), but there is now confidence that this one located final."

The leaked physical mock-up also suggests different materials being used for the iPhone 6 and the new colours used in various features such as rear camera and flash.

Earlier on Wednesday, an alleged iPhone 6 dummy model tipped 4.7-inch model's display and thinner bezels. The images showcased an alleged black-coloured dummy of the iPhone 6 handset featuring slimmer profile than the current iPhone 5s smartphone, along with a larger screen of almost 4.7-inch size.
