Asus has started taking pre-orders for the 4.5-inch ZenFone 4 A450CG smartphone via online retail partner Flipkart, priced at Rs. 6,999. The smartphone is listed to release in the first week of September.

Notably, the company had launched the Asus ZenFone 4 in two variants in July this year - the ZenFone 4 A450CG along with ZenFone 4 A400CG (Review | Pictures), however, only the ZenFone 4 A400CG model priced at Rs. 5,999 was made available. The ZenFone A450CG comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

Other than the bigger and higher resolution 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display, the major highlight of the ZenFone 4 A450CG is the 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash onboard - as compared to the 5-megapixel rear camera on the ZenFone 4 A400CG. Both feature 0.3-megapixel front-facing cameras.

The processor on the ZenFone 4 A450CG is a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520, the same as the ZenFone 4 A400CG. It also packs 1GB of RAM along with it. The smartphone features the 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 64GB). It packs a larger 1750mAh battery instead of 1600mAh on the ZenFone 4 A400CG. It measures at 136.80x67.90x11.30mm and weighs 133 grams.

The Taiwanese giant also confirmed it will be bringing the ZenFone series back in stock later this week.
