HTC has launched the Butterfly 2 for South Asian markets, a smartphone that was previously launched in Japan as the J Butterfly for KDDI. The smartphone will be made available from September 2 in Taiwan, and will be gradually rolled-out to Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand thereafter. For now, pricing details have not been provided.

The single-SIM HTC Butterfly 2 smartphone is the successor to the HTC Butterfly launched last year at Rs. 49,990 in India. The Butterfly 2 comes with 16GB and 32GB of inbuilt storage options, with expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). It sports a duo-camera setup as seen on HTC One (M8) (Pictures | Review) with main sensor at 13-megapixel with dual-LED flash, while a 5-megapixel front-facing camera is also onboard.
