Huawei is now gearing up to launch its new phones in the Mate series, presumably sometime in October, and leaks in June suggested large displays. Now, more information on specs and an image of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro has leaked online. The Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro are tipped to sport 6.1-inch and 6.9-inch displays respectively, according to a previous report. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is now rumoured to sport a notch-less and bezel-less display, a triple camera setup at the back, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro leaked image and specs are courtesy C Technology on Weibo, and the tipster suggests that the device will be powered by the Kirin 980 SoC. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro will also sport a triple camera setup like the P20 Pro, but it will come with a 42-megapixel sensor, and not a 40-megapixel one that was seen on the P20 Pro. The tipster claims that the Huawei Mate 20 Pro supports 40W fast charging, and an in-display fingerprint scanner just like the Huawei Porsche Design Mate RS.

The leaked photo shows the device's front display which is nearly bezel-less with no signs of a notch. The tipster claims that the Huawei Mate 20 Pro will be launched with a price tag of CNY 5,000 (roughly Rs. 50,100).

A previous report, as mentioned earlier, indicates that the Huawei Mate 20 Pro may have a huge 6.9-inch display. This could make the Mate 20 Pro win the screen size battle, as the iPhone X Plus is expected to sport a 6.5-inch display, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to sport a 6.4-incher. These large sized displays are very popular in the Chinese market, and Huawei presumably wants to meet expectations in its home market. Bigger screens are popular in China also because of the large text area used by the Chinese language. Huawei wouldn't want to lose its momentum in its biggest market by not staying ahead of its game.
