Karbonn Smart A2 with 4-inch display, Android 2.3 spotted online for Rs. 4,990

After launching 5.9-inch KarbonnA30, the Indian handset maker is now all set to launch an entry-level Android smartphone. Karbonn Smart A2 is an 4-inch smartphone that is expected to be unveiled shortly. However this smartphone is already listed on Flipkart.com for Rs. 4,990.

Karbonn Smart A2 comes with 1GHz processor and runs on the dated Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). It comes with 3-megapixel rear camera and VGA front camera. The internal storage available on this smartphone is just 202MB, which can be expanded via a microSD card to up to 32GB. Karbonn Smart A2 has 256MB of RAM.

Like most smartphones from Karbonn, Karbonn Smart A2 is also a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) phone. It has 1750 mAh battery. For now this smartphone is available only in Black colour option but at the time of launch there will be an option for a white colour as well.

Karbonn Smart A2 will be competing with Micromax Ninja 3 A57 and Spice Mi-320. Micromax Ninja 3 A57 comes with a 3.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen and is powered by a 1GHz processor with 256 MB of RAM. It also runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is also a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone that comes with a 1400 mAh battery and is retailing at a best buy price of Rs. 4,999. It also has a 3-megapixel rear camera.

Spice Mi-320 on the other hand is also dual-SIM smartphone running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It comes with 650MHz processor with 256MB of RAM and a 3.19-inch touchscreen. There is 1200mAh battery and is available for a best buy price of Rs. 4,350.
