Lava Partners ShopInSync to Offer Preloaded Online Shopping Service

ShopInSync Inc, India's first comprehensive and connected shopping platform, on Wednesday tied up with Lava, a leading smartphone company to offer selection and easy price comparison via an integrated messaging service on 10 Lava smartphones.

"We are delighted to partner with Lava and bring ShopInSync to millions of Indian consumers via Lava's upcoming 4G smartphones," Raj Ramaswamy, CEO and co-founder ShopInSync, said in a statement.

"Our mission is to build the most comprehensive and connected commerce platform and help users the make the best purchase decisions. This partnership is a great step in that direction," he added.

Launched in November, the ShopInSync app offers a comprehensive selection, easy price comparison, and the ability to chat, share products and collaborate with friends, family in a seamless way, via an integrated messaging service.

To a question of what prompted him to develop an app, Ramaswamy, the ex-product management and revenue executive at Yahoo, said: "India is a growing market and I was attracted towards the work that is being done in this field. Also, Indians are enthusiastic about shopping. So, that was a main idea behind designing this app."

Through this app consumers are able shop products across twelve major categories, ranging from fashion, kids, electronics, mobile/ tablets, home goods, appliances and more.

Recently, ShopInSync added products from Shopclues in its product listings in addition to Flipkart, Amazon & Snapdeal.

"It is a complete automated system with a great user interface where buyers can connect with family and friends and can discuss about a product on the same app before making the decision to purchase. No other app is offering this feature," Ramaswamy told IANS.

The app is available on Android platform and the company would launch app for iOS by the end of the month.

Meanwhile, Navin Chawla, senior vice president and head product, Lava International Limited, said: "In order to make online shopping a seamless experience for our customers, we have partnered with ShopInSync for all our upcoming 4G devices."

"We believe this application will add value to their life by empowering them to make an informed purchase decision post comparison across multiple platforms and consultation with family and friends," Chawla added.
