Lenovo A6000 Smartphone to Go on Sale Again Wednesday

Lenovo India, unlike previous occasions, has not revealed the number of Lenovo A6000 units going on sale in the flash sale on Wednesday.

The last sale saw 40,000 Lenovo A6000 units going out of stock in two seconds. The previous, or fifth flash sale in February saw 25,000 units going out of stock in three seconds. The fourth sale saw 20,000 Lenovo A6000 smartphones going out of stock in just four seconds while the third flash sale also saw 30,000 units going out of stock on Flipkart four seconds.

Prior to this, the second sale saw 20,000 Lenovo A6000 phones going out of stock in three seconds while the first sale saw 10,000 of Lenovo's budget 4G-enabled smartphones going out of stock in just two seconds.

To refresh, Lenovo's pricing for the Lenovo A6000 (Review | Pictures) significantly undercuts the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G - which sells at Rs. 9,999 - and Micromax's Yu Yureka - which is priced at Rs. 8,999. The Lenovo A6000 will be soon getting competition from Motorola's Moto E (Gen 2) 4G, which is expected to go on sale soon in India.

The Lenovo A6000 is compatible with the Band 3 and Band 40 (TDD-LTE) 4G networks used in India. Other specifications include a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display; a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) clocked at 1.2GHz; 1GB of RAM; Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo's Vibe UI 2.0 skin on top; 8GB of built-in storage with expandability via microSD card (up to 32GB); an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash; a 2-megapixel front camera, and a 2300mAh battery. The company has already promised an Android 5.0 Lollipop update without revealing any time-frame. The dual-SIM smartphone supports Micro-SIM cards, measures 141x70x8.2mm, and weighs 128 grams.
