Micromax A71 and Canvas XL budget Android smartphones listed online in India

For now, both the Micromax Canvas A71 and Canvas XL smartphones are listed as out of stock on the online retail store at the time of writing this post, and come with a 'Notify Me' option for consumers.

The Micromax A71 runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and is a dual-SIM phablet with support for GSM+GSM lines. It features a 5-inch WVGA display with 480x800 pixels resolution. The phablet is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A5 processor along with 512MB of RAM.

It sports a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and also includes a VGA front-facing camera. It comes with 512MB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. The Micromax A71 packs a 2000mAh battery which, as per the online retailer's listing, can deliver up to 5 hours of talktime and up to 200 hours standby time. Connectivity options on the phablet include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/ AGPS and 3G. The Micromax A71 measures 148.9x78.6x10mm.

The Micromax Canvas XL on the other hand, runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It comes with dual-SIM support (GSM+GSM) with dual standby. It features a 6-inch display with a resolution of 540x960 pixels resolution. The phablet is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The Micromax Canvas XL sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.

The Canvas XL comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The Canvas XL packs a 2450mAh battery, which according to online retailer's listing can deliver up to 9.5 hours of talktime and up to 209 hours of standby time. It comes with dimensions 165x84.2x10.4mm and weighs 180 grams. The Micromax Canvas XL includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/ AGPS and 3G connectivity options.
