Moto has listed a new inexpensive Moto Mod on its US website, the new Moto Folio. The Moto Folio is a case that is compatible with all smartphones in the Moto Z range. It is currently the cheapest Moto mod in the company's lineup. The Moto Folio is available in Super Black, Fine Gold, and Grape Juice colour variants. It has been priced at $14.99 (roughly Rs. 960) in the US. Gadgets 360 has learnt that the Moto Folio is likely to arrive in India soon.
The Moto Folio Mod is a regular case that claims to offer protection against "everyday scratches and bumps." With the capabilities of a Moto Mod, the Moto Folio snaps back on to any Moto Z phone and also features an internal card slot to hold a credit card, ID card etc. The case features a magnetic closure that keeps the case tightly shut.
Dimensions of the case are 156.1x74x3.5mm and the weight is 55 grams. While the Mod has been launched at $14.99, it was available for a discounted price of $11.24 (roughly Rs. 716) on Motorola's US website at press time.
The new Moto Folio Mod is compatible with Moto Z, Moto Z Play, Moto Z2 Play, Moto Z Force Droid, and Moto Z2 Force Edition.
The company has been pushing its Moto Mod series since its launch in 2016. Recently, two new Moto Mods - Lenovo Vital and Livermorium Slider Keyboard - were launched at CES 2018. Additionally, the phone manufacturer also announced three new Moto Mods - JBL Soundboost 2, GamePad, and TurboPower Pack - in India last month.
