  • K10000S expected to pack a Mediatek Helio P20 processor

Chinese company Oukitel came into limelight last year when it announced its smartphone K10000 with a humungous battery capacity of 10000mAh. Due to its huge battery capacity, the company was even able to pack in a feature called reverse charging that allowed users to use the smartphone as a power bank. However, as a result of this large capacity, the smartphone's thinness was compromised. Now, in order to address these concerns, the company is reportedly planning to update the phone with a thinner design and a faster processor.

As per a teaser by the company, it will release smartphone Oukitel K10000S soon. The company will be trying to address the issues like the thickness and weight of the smartphone with its upcoming successor, reports Neowin. Further, the smartphone is expected to be given a less mechanical look by featuring leather more prominently, while downplaying metal in its design.

The processor on Oukitel K10000S is expected to be upgraded to Mediatek Helio P20 from Mediatek MT6735 SoC on its predecessor.

We will have to wait for the official announcement for more details about the product as the company has not provided any information on the specifications, pricing, or the availability of the device as of now. However, given the price tag of $239.99 (approximately Rs. 16,000) on Oukitel K10000, the successor should be expected in a similar price range.
