Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo has received a price cut in India and is now available at Rs. 13,990.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo price in India has been slashed to Rs. 13,990. The handset, which was launched in the country back in April at a price of Rs. 16,990, is now available at the new price through Amazon India and offline retailers. Along with this, the two variants of Galaxy J6 have also received price cuts. The 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is now available for Rs. 12,990, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB RAM option will cost Rs. 14,990. The company has confirmed the price cut to Gadgets 360.

It notably comes with a dual rear camera setup and features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display. Samsung has also provided its octa-core Exynos 7 Series processor to attract customers. The Galaxy J7 Duo additionally comes with a Jio cashback offer under which customers can avail up to Rs. 2,750 worth of cashback in the form of 55 cashback vouchers worth Rs. 50 each and double data for a maximum of four recharges. The cashback is applicable for the Galaxy J7 Duo customers recharging with a value of Rs. 198 or Rs. 299, while the double data benefits are provided on prepaid plans of Rs. 198 and above.

As we mentioned, Amazon India and offline retailers have started offering the Galaxy J7 Duo with a price tag of Rs. 13,990. The new price is applicable to all the colour options, including Black, Blue, and Gold. Customers purchasing the handset through Amazon India can also avail a one-year damage protection and screen protection plans starting at Rs. 699. Also, the online marketplace is offering no-cost EMI options and an exchange offer under which you can get a discount up to Rs. 7,502 in lieu of your old handset.

However, unlike the Amazon listing, Samsung's online store and Flipkart aren't showing the new price. Mumbai-based mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom reported the price cut through a tweet on Tuesday. We've reached out Samsung to get a formal confirmation on the development.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo specifications

The dual-SIM (Micro) Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo runs Android Oreo and features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Exynos 7 Series SoC that is clocked at 1.6GHz, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The dual rear camera setup of the smartphone comprises a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash. On the front, the handset has an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and an LED selfie flash. The frontal sensor is also capable of recognising faces to enable the Face Unlock feature as well as offers Selfie Focus and Beauty Mode.

Samsung has provided 32GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). The smartphone also has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, fingerprint sensor, and a proximity senosr. Besides, the smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery and measures 153.5x77.2x8.2mm.
