Just a day before India launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the South-Korean giant has reportedly updated the smartphone's firmware to provide more stability.

According to a report, Samsung has pushed an update out to the Galaxy Note 4, called firmware number XXU1ANJ4. It is said to be around 36MB in size, and it reportedly improves some features of the handset (unspecified), and significantly improves the battery life. For those unaware, the Galaxy Note 4 features a large 3220mAh battery.

The update should install after users open retail units on day one, and won't come pre-installed, as per Sammobile. Samsung is yet to announce the update officially.

Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Note 4 in India on Tuesday. The company started sending media invites last week for the launch of the "The Next Galaxy."

Earlier on Monday, an established retailer shared what appeared to be a promotional image of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that mentioned October 17 as the availability date in India. Notably, Samsung in the invite had not indicated a launch date or announced pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 4 in India, but the retailer's information has largely turned out to be accurate in the past.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was launched at the company's pre-IFA 2014 event in September, and it comes with the new S Pen stylus with improved pressure sensitivity, as well as the new Smart Select feature, apart from the new calligraphy and signing pen writing options.

The processor will be either a 2.7GHz quad-core processor, or a 1.9GHz octa-core (1.9GHz quad-core + 1.3GHz quad-core) processor - which is the variant more likely to be launched in India. Both feature 3GB of RAM.
