Samsung unveiled its much awaited Galaxy S4 smartphone at the unpacked event in New York on Thursday. Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to be available starting April and there is no official word on what could be the price of this smartphone.

However, as per GSMArena, Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available in the US for approximately $579. As per the website, Samsung had put 48 units of 16GB Galaxy S4 as giveaways on their website, and had mentioned "approximate retail value" as $579. Samsung has not pulled down this listing.

If this is indeed the final pricing on an unlocked Galaxy S4, then it is slightly lesser than $649 that Apple is demanding for its 16GB unlocked iPhone 5.
