Samsung India has started rolling out the much-awaited Android 4.0 update for their phablet Galaxy Note in the country. Available over-the-air as well as via the PC application Samsung Kies, this update is over 318MB in size.

Several users have reported the same on social-networking site Twitter and similar confirmations are coming from forum XDA-developers.com as well.

According to the update changelog, it contains Android 4.0 with Touchwiz UI, new S-Note application and updated S-Memo widget.

Galaxy Note is the first device from the Korean manufacturer to get the Android 4.0 update in India. Company is yet to issue the update for the popular Galaxy S II handset as well its Honeycomb tablets.

Originally announced last year, Android 4.0 is the latest version of Android and includes new features like resizable widgets, performance improvements, new People app, improved task manager and a lot more.
