It seems Google is making way for new Play edition devices, as the company has silently removed the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play edition, Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition, and HTC One (M7) Google Play edition from its store. These devices have been officially removed, not only from their landing page, but also from country availability section in Google's support page too.

Earlier the status on specific pages of these Google Play edition (GPE) devices was changed to "no longer available for sale" (see above). Now, since the listing has also been removed, it seems that the LG G Pad 8.3 , Sony Z Ultra, and HTC One (M7) GPE devices will not be restocked.

Last month, Google had started pushing out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for its Google Play edition devices, with users reporting OTA availability of the update. The update had brought security enhancements and various bug fixes to the devices.

The HTC One (M7) GPE went out of stock on June 2, while both the LG G Pad 8.3 GPE and Sony Z Ultra GPE went out of stock on June 17. Notably, the Sony Z Ultra had in April received a price cut. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition had also gone out of stock on June 20, but its listing still exits on Google Play.

Since Google has recently added Moto G Google Play edition and HTC One (M8) Google Play edition to the GPE line, it seems that we could soon see a Samsung Galaxy S5 Google Play edition soon, in place of the Galaxy S4 GPE. Earlier, the device was spotted in briefly teased listing by Google in May.
