Spice Stellar 524 with 13-Megapixel Camera Available Online for Rs. 8,899

Spice looks set to soon announce the Stellar 524, as the smartphone has been listed for purchase on an e-commerce website at a discounted price of Rs. 8,899 (MRP Rs. 10,799) along with its specifications. So far, the company has not listed the smartphone on its site, or provided official availability and pricing details.

The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) Spice Stellar 524 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS LCD display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor (unknown chipset) coupled with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 3.2-megapixel front facing camera also onboard. The handset can shoot full-HD videos along with other presets including panorama, HDR, voice photo capture, smile shot ad more.

The handset packs 8GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity options on the Spice Stellar 524 include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ A-GPS and USB 2.0. The battery on the smartphone is 2000mAh, as listed on Saholic website.

The company last week launched three new smartphones under its 'Mi' brand, namely Stellar Mi-503, Stellar Mi-507 and Stellar Mi-516 - all of which feature dual-SIM support. The new Stellar series smartphones are listed on the company's site with pricing - the Spice Stellar Mi-503 is priced at Rs. 6,249, the Spice Stellar Mi-507 at Rs. 6,999, and the Spice Stellar Mi-516 at Rs. 7,999.

As of now, there is no word on the availability details of the new smartphones; however, we expect that Spice will announce the availability in the coming days. The three new Stellar smartphone share a lot of similarities in terms of specifications as all sport a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels). See our previous coverage for complete specifications.
