Xolo X1000 to get Android 4.1 update this week

Xolo X1000 is all set to get an update to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). NDTV Gadgets has got exclusive information from sources within the company that this update will be rolled out over-the-air in the week starting June 3, 2013.

Xolo X1000 was the third Intel-based smartphone in the Indian market which was launched in March 2013. The smartphone packs in a 2GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor with PowerVR SGX540 GPU. It comes with a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 720X1280 pixels. Xolo X1000 carries a retail tag of Rs. 19,999 and the even after the Android update there will be no change in the price of this smartphone.

Other specifications of this smartphone include 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB via microSD. Camera wise, the Xolo X1000 comes with an 8-megapixel rear shooter and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one. The device is powered by a 1,900mAh battery, which the company claims gives 5 hours of browsing time on 3G and talktime of 9.5 hours on 3G as well as 2G. The total standby time for this smartphone is touted to be 14 days. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. The smartphone is just 9.1mm thick.
