The Little Details Make the Le Max Smarter Than Your Smartphone

By Sponsored Content | Updated: 15 February 2016 13:10 IST
There are smartphones and there are phones that are smarter than genius. And yes, there is a difference. As we've seen over the years, just about anyone can cobble together a smartphone with the fastest processor, generous amounts of RAM, and ample storage space to have it labelled as a flagship. But the Le Max from LeEco goes above and beyond that. Sure it has flagship-level specifications what with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM, and choice between 64GB and 128GB of storage, but it packs in a little extra that makes it not just a smartphone, but a super phone.

Here's what sets the LeEco Le Max apart from the competition.

1. Future-proof video options
Sure the Le Max has a gorgeous Quad HD display that measures a colossal 6.3 inches diagonally making it picture perfect for most of your video watching needs. If you need a bigger screen, LeEco's super phone has you covered. The Le Max has multiple video-out options such as MHL, which lets you connect to an HDTV via HDMI and Miracast to allow for wireless mirroring of your screen and content. While this should solve your video needs in the short-term, there's WirelessHD too. It uses a proprietary standard known as UltraGig and is backed by consortium that includes, amongst others, Broadcom and Intel. Why should you care? It works on the much higher 60GHz frequency band which can handle nearly 25Gbps data rates at short ranges allowing for better quality wire-free transmissions of your movies and videos making for a better viewing experience.

2. Thoughtful audio additions
Le Eco takes audio just as seriously as video if not more. The Le Max features enhancements such as Le Hi-Fi and Dolby Audio. In terms of hardware it packs in a dedicated LeTV-HQ7A chip and low-dropout linear regulator. What this means is you'll have less distortion and noise in your music or video dialogues, making for a more pleasant experience regardless of plugging in earphones or using the Le Max's own speakers that pack quite a punch.

3. Careful camera considerations
The Le Max houses a 21-megapixel camera that has optical image stabilisation. It's a worthy feature that lets you take gorgeous photos. Be it pictures of a night out partying or quieter, indoor shots, the phone's Sony sensor never skips a beat, ensuring you'll never have to worry with options like white balance, ISO, and exposure unless you really want to. 4K recording and a separate 'slow-mo' video mode shoots 720p video at either 2x or 4x are also present ensuring that your videos taken with the Le Max look as good as your photos. If you're the selfie-obsessed sort there's a 4-megapixel front facing camera that makes you look good regardless of lighting conditions.

4. Smarter battery life
With a 6.3-inch screen, beefy processor and oodles of RAM, there's an equally generous 3400mAh battery to go with the Le Max. It easily lasts an entire day before you'll be hunting for a charger. Even then, thanks to the Le Max supporting Qualcomm's Quick Charge feature you'll just need a mere 30 minutes to hit at least 25 percent, making long charging times a thing of the past.

As you can see, it's not just raw specifications that make a smartphone a super phone, it's these little add-ons that make a world of a difference, and exactly why the Le Max should be one to look out for.
