i don't know why people are going crazy about android phone,this is the best phone i have seen in this range.my sister have bought this phone in February from the local store. pros:- 1.best design and looks. 2.1gb ram = high performance(no lag). 3.can play all the high-end games like asphalt 8 airborne,temple run 2,subway surfer etc. 4.great camera with auto-focus and good for video. 5.have better interface than android phones(you will love it,if u will use it) 6.nice ips display and very smooth touch. cons:- 1.does not have camera flashlight so in night camera performance decreases but still gives nice photos. 2.because of windows OS some apps are available at nokia store after a week or a month as comparison to android store.

Hello Friends, After a lot of research i finalized this device as my choice .I have been using the device from past 20 days.And my opinion is : The device performance is Buttery Smooth,Windows UI is Awesome.I suggest this phone for those who are bored with laggy android,those who cannot afford a high end android. Almost all important apps are now available on WP store except very few which we use hardly. Never think that WP store does'nt have apps or so ! Performance : yes performance is superb in this price range, I bet you,show me a single smartphone other than windows,in this price range that performs really good ! We cant find any ! Microsoft has given high priority for the Privacy of customers and this is the reason there are many limitations in the OS.Hopefully at least few will be addressed in next update. Camera is excellent during daytime but Nights its not ! Though there are no customizations as of now,Microsoft is working on WP 8.1 which adds many customizations. And never ever compare WP and Android ! Android took nearly 7 years to reach the position which it is enjoying now,but WP is just two years old.It takes time. Most Of the people have complaint regarding the Battery Life. --> This is because most of them put over charge before the first usage(6 hrs ++).Those days were gone. --> If you are getting a new phone,then just charge it to 100% and use the phone normally for a couple of days(lets say 4 to 6 days or a week).And never operate your phone when its charging(Only during these days),mainly do not play games. -->after a week or so play with your phone as you want, No restrictions. Note : This is not from any source or article, This is from my personal experience. -->My phone gives a back up of 1 day + 5 hours On "moderate--heavy" usage. And on light usage i get 2+ days back up. Moderate--heavy Usage : Wifi Always on,Whatsapp,hike,Browsing Via Internet Explorer,Subway surfers + 2 or 3 games,calls.Streaming(at times only). Light usage : Calls,messages,Few normal games.No wifi or data. ** Hope this review helps for those who decide to buy this phone**

I am using this phone since 2 months. It has been great experience for me. I gave it 4 star rating out of 5 because of its seamless performance, good battery life, good experience of Microsoft apps like OFFICE and XBOX, good camera apps and Here Drive navigation. The things I liked in this phone are 1) It's design :- Its a 4" device which fits perfectly in hand. You can use this device by one hand without any troubles. The rubberized mat finish on the back gives a smooth and strong hold on the phone. The back panel doesn't attract fingerprints ans scratches easily. 2) Its Screen :- Though its not a HD screen but it gives a good performance. Lumia Touchscreen is always good. Its Super sensitive touch screen. You can use it with gloves also. 3)Software :- I am using WP 8.1 (Developers Preview) on my lumia. There are lot of new features added by Microsoft to this update like Transparent Tiles, VPN, Notification Center and Best feature is CORTANA (Digital Voice Assistance). This Os is truly developing day by day. There are very less bugs in this developers preview. 4)Gaming and Software performance:- I played lot of games on this device, Never found any kind of lag while playing games (Except Temple Run 2) because of 1 Ghz Dual core processor and 1GB RAM. I never found any kind of lag while multitasking. It gives a good performance The things I disliked are 1)Camera:- Its 5MP autofocus shooter. It captures decent photos in daylight but as there is no flash provided,its not useful in low light. 2)Overheating:- Some times it gets heated near the camera while using 3G or playing High graphics games. 3) App ecosystem :- As WP OS is a developing OS, we should give it some time to compare with Android App ecosystem. Lot of famous apps are already there and many more are coming on this platform. I will recommend this phone for the person who loves to play high graphic games, who is happy with decent camera performance, who is bored of Android, who wants good battery life ,user friendly OS and whose budget is around 10000 Rs. Its a good phone in this price segment.

nokia lumia 525 is great phone for under 10k .....gaming is smooth .but proccer is bit slow no front facing camera and no flash

those who are up with the samsung & interested in windows at low price it is best. it is best as it has the very good camera & good gaming compared to the samsung. it too has some backdrops though the user won't face much problem as mainly the phone doesn't struck or hang. we all know the hardware of nokia. of course strong body & good design.

Page1 Lumia 520 was a hit from Nokia as the budget phone. It shaped good but had some issues along with it! Nevertheless it was the best seller in the Lumia series. So Nokia upgraded the same phone as Lumia 525 with almost all the similar features of lumia 520 but a new RAM! The Lumia 525 includes the similar Snapdragon S4 SoC, same five megapixel rear camera, same 4.0-inch WVGA display, same storage options and the same design. Nokia has bumped up the RAM from 512 MB to 1 GB, allowing you to run more apps in the background, as well as the latest games. Let's talk about the design; The lumia 525's the same design which was used in the Lumia 520. The phones are almost identical as the design from the top to bottom is the same. It has a rectangular 4.0inch display that is easy to hold with a thick plastic back (keeping in mind Nokia's Indestructible tradition).Lumia 525 comes in black,white, red and yellow, which judging by the Lumia 520 will feature nicer matte plastic. The display is protected with glass; unfortunately not tough Gorilla Glass, but it should resist wear and tear.We also get here a removable and a replaceable 1430mAh battery.Lumia 525's is easy to hold but the plastic and the removable battery makes it a lil sluggy and thick. Now the Display; Lumia 525 flaunts a IPS TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 800 x 480, similar to Lumia 520. It bumps a 233 ppi which I found was uncomfortable and a little unstandard from the 2014 Budget Phone's view. It's viewing angles are still quite good thanks to the display?s use of IPS technology.Lumia 525's display is good but seen from other budget phones, you will not be proud of this. The Performance - This is where nokia upgraded the package from 512MB to 1GB of RAM. I was pretty impressed with its buttery play as navigating the operating system was generally smooth experience on the Lumia 525, thanks to hardware acceleration efforts that see the GPU well utilized. It packs a 8GB Internal space in which 2.39 GB is occupied by the OS and related system files, leaving just 4.84 GB free to the user. Overcoming this issue, there's a microSD card slot which supports up to 64GB of space. Lumia 525 has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 which is clocked at an average speed of 1GHz. The MSM8227 SoC in the Nokia Lumia 525 provides enough oomph for low-intensity tasks, but falls behind in app loading and web browsing. I?m not a fan of how Nokia has used a year-old chip in a device marketed as being brand new, especially when there are better, newer alternatives available. That?s not to say the performance is bad, but I expect more from today?s entry-level smartphone. The Nokia Lumia 525 is upgraded version of Lumia 520. It is an exact replica of 520 with minor changes i.e. 1GB RAM and Bluetooth 4.0 with DLNA support. The older version the Nokia Lumia 520 comes with 512MB RAM and Bluetooth 3.0 Design, Display and OS As mentioned 525 is the 520 with minor internal changes. Look wise there is no difference between these two models.The LCD display screen is 4 inches supporting resolution of 800×480 pixels. The viewing angles are okay. Touch is extremely smooth and responsive; you can even set the touch sensitivity to work with gloves. There are light, accelerometer and proximity sensors. Memory and Storage Unlike the Lumia 520 that comes with 512MB RAM, the Lumia 525 comes with 1GB RAM. There is 8GB internal storage of which 4.37GB is available on the first boot. This single SIM handset also houses a micro SD slot (64GB card supported). Performance The Lumia 525 houses the same hardware that their predecessor does. It is QUALCOMM snapdragon MSM8227 dual core chipset @ 1GHz with Adreno 305 GPU. Camera The rear camera is 5MP that gives very good still images and the 720p video recording is also pretty good. Street light (low light) images are very good The handset can play full HD videos ? 1080p. Others This handset supports single SIM, you need a micro SIM. 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth worked well. GPS with A-GPS/GLONASS no doubt does an excellent job we have seen this on the Lumia 520 too. Speaker sound / in call sound is very loud and clear. Gaming On the box pack you will find the Asphalt 8 game image, well that?s exactly what I tried. I downloaded the game and it got installed on the internal storage. There was no option to set the graphics details. Game play was smooth but graphic details are low. Battery The battery backup looks good. The removable battery is of 1430 mAh capacity with up to 10 hours talk time. I played the Asphalt 8 game for about 15 minutes the handset did get heated up a bit and the battery level dropped by 8%. Verdict Lumia 525 is a better version of Lumia 520. If your usage is not much, i.e. if it is restricted to phone calls, surfing, social networks etc. then the Lumia 520 is good enough. The 520 is currently priced at under Rs. 8100. Price difference is approx Rs. 2000, i would recommend 525 for medium level gaming

If you were to put all of Nokia?s smartphones in a line-up, it?d be very difficult to pick apart the Lumia 520 and Lumia 525. In fact, it would be impossible, because the design of both phones is identical right down to the size and weight. The front of the 525 is very rectangular, which suits the design language of Windows Phone 8 well. Display coverage of roughly 59% is mediocre, as can be appreciated by the large bezels around the four inch panel, but the display is positioned in the perfect position to make the phone easy to use. Below the display you?ll find the standard Windows Phone capacitive hardware buttons, and above is the in-call speaker and a few cleverly hidden sensors. You?ll note here there?s no front-facing camera. The Nokia Lumia 525 packs the exact same display as the Lumia 520, meaning that we?re getting year-old budget-centric technology in what?s being marketed as a new device: a 4.0-inch IPS TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 800 x 480. Other affordable devices are now packing 720p displays, which makes the 525 seem a little substandard. The display?s low resolution (233 pixels per inch) is noticeable from the moment you turn the device on. That?s not to say the panel itself is bad ? text is more than readable ? but it?s no challenge to spot individual pixels. The edges of text and graphics are noticeably jagged, and it lacks the clarity you?d get from a higher resolution. Inside the Nokia Lumia 525 we?re getting the exact same SoC Nokia used for the Lumia 520, which isn?t an ideal situation. The Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 was first seen in devices at the end of 2012, and has already been superseded twice, first by the Snapdragon 400 used throughout 2013?s mid-to-low-range handsets, and then again by the recently-announced Snapdragon 410. While the Snapdragon 410 is still in the sampling stage, it seems odd that Nokia would continue to use the year-old MSM8227 over a Snapdragon 400. The choice makes the Lumia 525?s hardware immediately outdated at launch, and comparatively weak up against competitors? offerings. The Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 SoC is built on a 28nm LP process and features a 1.0 GHz dual-core Krait CPU, 1 MB of L2 cache, an Adreno 305 GPU, a Hexagon QDSP6 DSP at 500 MHz, a single-channel LPDDR2 memory controller, plus Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS and HSPA+ radios. The MSM8227 is paired with 1 GB of RAM in the Lumia 525, which is one of the only upgrades that has been made over the Lumia 520, which included just 512 MB.
