The Yoga Tablet 2 comes in two different screen sizes, 8-inch (1920x1200 pixel) and 10-inch (1920x1200 pixel), and a choice of Android 4.4 KitKat and Windows 8.1 with Bing 32-bit. The Yoga Tablet 2 with Android OS are available for purchase, with prices starting at $249.99 (approximately Rs. 15,200) and $299.99 (approximately Rs. 18,200), for 8-inch and 10-inch display sizes respectively. All four tablets come with an Accutype keyboard dock (seen below) powered by Bluetooth that also serves as a cover.
The 10-inch variant of the Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows priced at $399 (approximately Rs. 24,400) will be available in late October via Best Buy (but is already listed on the Lenovo US Store for purchase), while the 8-inch Windows variant will be available in November starting at $299 (approximately Rs. 18,200).
All 4 models include Intel Atom Z3745 (1.33GHz, 2MB cache) processors; 2GB of RAM; an 8-megapixel rear camera; a 1.6-megapixel front camera, and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage with microSD support (up to 64GB). The 8-inch variants come with 2-cell 6400mAh Li-Cylindrical batteries, while the 10-inch variants feature with 3-cell 9600mAh Li-Cylindrical batteries.
The new 13.3-inch variant in the Yoga series is called the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro and will be available in late October starting at $499 (approximately Rs. 30,500). The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro has been developed with Ashton Kutcher, who joined Lenovo as a product engineer a year ago.
"Our vision for the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro was to create the best tablet on the market," said Ashton Kutcher, Lenovo Product Engineer.
The highlighted features in the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro include the built-in pico projector that can project an image of up to 50-inches in size, and an 8-watt sound system with a subwoofer.
It features a 13.3-inch QHD (2560x1440 pixels) display; Intel Atom Z3745 (1.33GHz, 2MB cache) processor; 32GB internal storage with microSD card expansion (up to 64GB), Android 4.4 KitKat, optional 4G and up to 15 hours of battery life with its 3-cell 9600mAh Li-Cylindrical battery, says Lenovo.
"The Yoga Tablet 2 Pro is the culmination of the most extensive research and feedback we've ever undertaken, and Ashton has been with us every step of the way, bringing new ideas to the table, challenging us and always advocating for users," said Jeff Meredith, Vice President, Mobile Business Group.
Lenovo's Yoga 3 Pro laptop is the successor to Yoga 2 Pro and comes with 13.3-inch QHD+ (3200x1800 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It will be available from end October starting at $1,349.99 (approximately Rs. 82,500), but has already been listed for purchase on the US Lenovo store.
The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro runs on an Intel Core M 5Y70 Processor (1.10GHz, 4MB cache), with Intel HD Graphics 5300. It comes in Windows 8.1 64 or Windows 8.1 Pro 64 options, with 8GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM, a choice of 256GB or 512GB SSD, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.0, and a 4-cell 44.8 Watt Hour Li-Polymer battery.
Lenovo says that the new Yoga 3 Pro takes the signature 360-degree hinge design concept even further with 17 percent slimmer frame at 12.8mm than Yoga 2 Pro. The laptop weighs at 1.19kg which is 14 percent less than its predecessor.
The Yoga 3 Pro will be available in three colours - Clementine Orange, Platinum Silver and Champagne Gold.
