Whirlpool 1.5 Ton 5 Star Split AC (3D COOL PLATINUM V SPS) User Reviews and Ratings

Hi all, I bought this as this April as the heat is continuously increasing and bad. After researching online about the tonnage and room sizing, I fixed on a 1.5ton for myself. I was keen to buy a 5star or an inverter to save on power bills. Actually (to be honest) I expect little or no changes in power bill (As a fan runs continuously and an AC does'nt on "eco" settings). The installation was smooth, I discussed unit positions, and the guys were patient enough to take some and suggest some, then on agreeing the guys drilled a hole through the wall to get the pipes to the outdoor unit and installed. In my case the outdoor unit needed no frame for holding, we had a cement ledge over the balcony window, on which it was placed (I dont know why they did not bolt the thing to the ledge, might be forgot..? or it truly is not necessary..?). The indoor unit position was a bit compromised as the unit had to be in a slope to push the drain water outwards. This made the placement of the unit a bit higher than I expected. The installation of the AC costed nothing (as in free). Only materials were needed which I bought and gave them as necessary. for installation, they needed birla white cement (to plug the holes in the walls), a 3m drain pipe. They did not do the electricals, I had to call a seperate electrical guy to do the wiring work (we did not have a high amp socket). So, I am only giving a rating for the product, which is good, the cooling is sufficient, (~(19L x 9B * 9H) 1500 cu ft) room. It takes 30min to notice the cooling in the room overall and an hour to reach 25C. (I am not sure if the gas is low, will later claim a service ticket to be sure). Power draw was around 1.4kW (have to check the savings in the long run). I tried "Around U" feature at 26C for a period of time and the cutoffs made me uneasy as temps rose to 28 till it switches on and it reaches 24. There is a temp variance in operation, that causes a chill or sultry feeling. I guess the inverter models offer a better solution to avoid this. Might be it is cause if the "Around U" feature, and disabling it might be better. Overall for the price i bought, I am satisfied and recommend this product.

I was searching for an AC since long time and finally zeroed on this.The main reason being-whirlpool, a trusted brand in the arena.Though Hitachi,Samsung,LG are still tough competitors.For a lesser price you can even go for Lloyd. But that's a local brand again. Well coming to AC-it looks nice-not extremely stylish though. Coming to performance-it's very good-quick cooling-automatic restart-sleepmode etc are all good. It doesn't carry many features other competitors provide, but I think I made a good decision by purchasing this one. Remote is not stylish and it's a simple operating thing like a Nokia phone :) Go for it-a 1.5 ton 5 star AC at this price is definitely worth it.

After reading some reviews complaining about their bad experience on installation, I order it with skepticism but with the confidence that Flipkart has never failed me and I was right the product came at my door on the committed date which was 4 days after ordering in proper factory packing, the whirlpool installation guy called me a day before even the product came to fix the timing, when he came for installation he revealed that whirlpool is offering complimentary installation and I'll have to pay only for stand and consumables which was very fair, he did a proper job and charged me as promised. Now about AC: the model is just fine, the swing is only two way (UP/DOWN), looks are good, the better of the functionalities have been provided on the inverter AC model and not this one so you will have a remote and manual which will talk about lot of features which are actually not there! one annoying thing about this model is in the event of power failure it restarts from the lowest temperature which is very annoying in night when you have to adjust temperature repeatedly in frequent outages otherwise it's a value for money deal.

It is good but the remote is not that attractive... Working condition is good. Installation they charged 1500.

Cost and Product delivery is good. However we are not happy with the demo and installation process. We had asked that person to leave and not to continue the installation.

Product was delivered in 12 hrs.........very impressive. I was told by Flipkart CS that someone would come and install from Whirlpool. Waited for the next 3 days but no one turned up. Only kept getting apology calls from Flipkart CS regarding the delay. Ultimately, had to get it installed through a local AC service guy.

The product got delivered in 5 working days, which I think is fine.I need to pay the installation charges of INR1,500 and additional INR 1500 also for the extra Copper pipe at the rate of INR 750 per meter.I was expecting the additional installation charges , as the same was mentioned in the terms and conditions at the time of purchase, however I was not expecting that I need to pay for the extra copper pipe and that's also for that much of high rate.The room size where I have installed the AC is 11ft x 10 ft and is not exposed to sun raise because of its direction, even though the cooling capacity of the AC is not that good.It took almost half an hour to cool the room at 6th sense and when I use the turbo mode it cools fast but..it becomes a bit humid. Its to be noted that my residence is not near sea side.Overall I find it to be okay, however find the price point very reasonable.

This product start giving issue after 2 season approx 8 months of mild usage. Not cooling at all. Disappointed by the product. CONDENSER of this product isof aluminium, got leaked in 3 season and cant br repaired. Regret my decision to buy whirl3and online as condenser is of aluminum not mentioned.

I bough this AC and when delivered, found out Indoor unit was from 2014 manufactured. I asked Flipkart " i paid in and for 2015 model and you sent me product from left over batch". 3 days after Customer care called and refused to replace. I am not satisfied by my purchase and this is my last order from Flipkart, they are sending last years model at current year price and refusing to take it back or replace with a new model. Think before you make your purchase.

Please note that although Copper Pipe is provided with AC, Outdoor unit stand is NOT. The same has costed me Rs 700 and Rs 1,500 for installation. Also if you don't choose their Authorized Service Centre for installation, you won't get the warranty.

we have ordered Whirlpool 1.5 Tons 5 Star Split AC White and we have received it on 14 June 2016. after receipt we found tht we have received only outdoor unit. indoor unit not received. we have registered a complate for this on 20 june 2016. we are only receiving call that with in 24 hours your issue will be resolved but till the issue is not resolved.

Whirlpool is A Only company Giving its Serving Work To Local contractors and Dose Not Cares For It.I Got This AC And Got Problems From Third Month It Self.No Customer Servicing And No Values And Loyality Towards Customers,Never Buy This AC And Whirlpool products

Worst products. In between 2 years several parts are damaged. Never buy.

Don't Buy whirlpool AC. I Purchased this AC which is not running, completely wastage of money.Many time registered complaint but no response.
